One of the many reasons that I love Biofield Tuning, as well as the other energy healing modalities that I offer, is that I am able to help clients heal not only themselves but also help them heal their ancestral lineage. Ancestrally held trauma and beliefs, which we often inherit, can inform and impact our lives and health in many ways. By releasing these limiting beliefs and healing this inherited trauma we can make big shifts in our healing and spiritual journeys. Through the work that we do to heal ourselves, we send healing back down the line to our ancestors, out to our living relatives, and forward up the line to our descendants. This healing work ripples out all around us.

Self-Heal (Prunella-vulgaris) is an herb in the Lamiaceae (mint) family, This potent and powerful little herb has many medicinal uses. A few of these uses are externally as a poultice for wounds/cuts and internally as a cooling-tonic, for issues affecting the mouth/throat, lung congestion and as an anti-inflammatory - and that’s just to name a few of it’s many medicinal uses. It is also commonly known as Heal-all and we can see why!

As a flower essence self-heal catalyzes our healing potential. It is a great remedy for those facing a healing challenge - whether it be physical, mental/emotional or spiritual. Affirming to us that we are our own greatest healer.

This is one of the flower essences that I reach for often for myself and for my family. It is also one that I will frequently include in my client’s initial flower essence formula and in subsequent formulas to aid in integration.

The Reiki Principles also known as the Reiki Precepts or the Reiki Ideals were taught by Mikao Usui, the founder of Usui Reiki, to his students. Although the wording may change depending on the translation, the meaning of the precepts remain the same. Usui Sensei encouraged his students to recite these ideals both morning and night.

The Reiki Precepts have transformed my life and personal Reiki practice. Where there was constant worrying about things beyond my control, I now find peace. Where there was my inner critic with the constant running list of my faults, I now find a quiet grace in being kind to myself because the Reiki precepts remind me to be kind to all living things. The Reiki Precepts urge us to live and act in the present, taking it one moment at a time. Reciting the precepts reminds us to embody these ideals.

I teach the Reiki precepts - the history and the practice - in more detail during my Reiki I & II practitioner training class but anyone can learn and benefit from this practice. You do not have to be attuned to Reiki to weave these principles into your daily life.

A good resource for Reiki practitioners looking to incorporate the Reiki Principles into their daily practice is the book Reiki for the Heart and Soul: The Reiki Principles as Spiritual Pathwork by Amy Z. Rowland.
