💜 With National Purple Heart Day coming up on Wednesday, we want to honor those who have given so much to our country by sharing how we appreciate military-connected students who attend CVTC.

Justin, our Veteran Advisor and School Certifying Official, said CVTC offers many benefits for our military-connected students, including service member priority registration, Veterans Day activities, student meetups and special service member graduation designation just to name a few. ⭐

About the Purple Heart: It was first created on August 7, 1782, by the Continental Army commander-in-chief Gen. George Washington. Then known as the Badge of Military Merit, it was awarded to three Revolutionary soldiers in 1783. At current estimates, about 1.8 million Purple Hearts have been awarded since 1782.

The space will be shared by both the Aesthetician - Advanced Practice program and new Massage Therapy - Advanced Practice programs.

Have you ever wondered what it takes for a college to be accredited? CVTC will host a site visit for continuing accreditation of its Associate Degree Nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). 🩺👩‍⚕️

Anyone interested is invited to meet with the site visit team and share comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10 at our Health Education Center, 615 W. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire.

Recently, CVTC had the privilege of hosting high school students during a Transportation and STEM Junior Achievement of Wisconsin Northwest Area camp. Chris is no stranger to fire. The CVTC adjunct instructor and Township Fire captain sets fires and then extinguishes them -- all in the name of research. Recently, English Language Learning program students hopped on the Eau Claire city bus to explore the resources available in our community. With Eau Claire Transit guiding them, they learned to navigate from CVTC to the transit center and are ready to move and groove throughout the city utilizing the City Bus system.

🚑 Behind every successful surgery, there’s a highly skilled surgical technologist ensuring everything runs smoothly. They're the unsung heroes of healthcare! That's why it's so important that they get the necessary training.

Recently, we welcomed visitors from the Wisconsin Association of Surgical Technologists and State Senator Jesse James for a walk through our surgical tech space to learn more about the program. The state association approves set mandatory educational requirements for surgical technologists in the state.
