Lets check out the INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER APARTMENTS!
While converting this former warehouse into apartment homes, many of the historic elements were retained in order to preserve the integrity of the project and its factory setting. The restored red brick building has a decidedly urban relationship with the street and surrounding neighborhood.
Features of the original building still evident after the restoration are brick interior walls, large wood columns, beams, hardwood floors and wood ceilings, as well as "walk-in vault" dens in two of the apartment homes. The historic elements combined with state-of-the-art interior finishes and modern amenities, result in apartment homes that are both efficient and aesthetically pleasing.

Have you ever wondered where the name "Banbury Place" came from?
"Banbury" is the brand name of an industrial mixer named for inventor Fernley H. Banbury. Mixers such as the Banbury mixer are used for mixing or compounding rubber/plastics and were in place when the facility operated as the Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Company!
Banbury mixers are still at Banbury Place and are now operated by American Phoenix, Inc. in their product manufacturing process!
If you didn't before, now you know! Stop by and visit our historic buildings the next time you're on Galloway Street in Eau Claire, WI!
