Job Description

Summary: Track and work with internal and external customers to assure that expectations are being are being met. Work with others to positively solve any challenges that are discovered.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Proactively contact clients and prospects to develop and increase new business via phone, email and internet. (some in-person contact with customers may be necessary)
•Receive and log all incoming Requests for Quote from Five Star Sales group or Representatives. •Download, archive and query part files as required to facilitate RP, Tooling and Molding quotes as well as any secondary operations required by the Customer.
•Network within current clients and prospects to increase share of business awarded
•Update and maintain contact management database •Archive calls, contacts, and touches per week standards set forth by Manager and monthly production goals
•Quote Projects to customers, and understand what is being requested.
•Coordinate scheduling and timing with RP Shop Coordinator on projects before time commitments are given to clients/prospects
•Utilize and understand multiple 2D and 3D software packages to optimize SLA and SLS build set up.
•Evaluate integrity of data received from customers, and recommend changes.
•Maintain required logs to help maintain proper tracking (build, quote, quality, delivery, and in process).
•Know and understand different ways to get data to and from customers (FTP download, Email)
•Keep area clean as spelled out in "Housekeeping Expectations" for area
•Assist customers with process / material selection (know and understand processes / materials available).
•Fill out necessary paperwork for awarded projects (Work Order), and send to required individuals. •Set timelines and relay information to internal and external (customer) individuals. Before and throughout project duration.
•Work with RP, Molding, Engineering areas and Quality Group to ensure consistently accurate parts.
•Know, understand, and be able to provide support and assistance for all other individuals in the RP area
•Pass along knowledge gained to others.
•Maintain Quality Management System compliance.

Five Star Plastics is looking for a person preferably with experience, but not required, in high precision CNC machining, and experience with programming. This person should be self-motivated with a sense of urgency, have good troubleshooting skills and mechanical abilities, and also have the ability to work with minimal direction. The candidate will have a working knowledge of general tool room equipment, the ability to read blueprints, and possess good organizational skills. An associate's degree in the Machine Tooling Techniques program or equivalent experience preferred. Experience or knowledge of injection molds are also a benefit. Candidate will also have the option to enroll in the state registered Mold Making Apprenticeship program paid for by the company.

This person will train operators on quality aspects, document processes and procedures for new products, work on quality and training issues for the molding area, document control, create in process inspection plans based on customer requirements, create certification of compliance forms, and other duties as required to meet departmental expectations.

Qualifications will be 1-year technical college in precision inspection with 2-3 years experience, basic GD&T knowledge (reading and interpreting blueprints), basic SPC knowledge, utilizing and reading of both digital and dial inspection equipment, identify standard quality equipment i.e. gage blocks, plug gages, etc., demonstrate basic math skills, and Surface Plate and Optical Comparator experience. Successful candidates will have integrity, a sense of urgency and a desire to control their own future.

We are looking for a motivated hard-worker who has leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will have strong math skills and be organized, energetic and safety conscious. Must be able to work with minimal direction and able to work overtime if necessary. Ability to distinguish between colors and hues and ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs. at times is required. Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to multi-task and see beyond the present situation are needed.

Job duties include: monitoring performance of employees, monitoring production and staffing levels of the molding department, molding technician duties, daily audits, and any other duties as required by manager.

We are looking for a motivated, hard-worker with a strong mechanical aptitude and leadership ability. Duties will include installation of mold and materials in the pre-process stage of production, documenting procedures of set-up to allow for repeatability on future installations, and monitoring the production floor to determine change over schedule. Ideal candidates will be organized, energetic, safety conscious and available for over time if necessary. Previous setup experience is strongly preferred.

Five Star Plastics, Inc. is a full process plastics injection molding company, searching for an entry-level or experienced Molding Operator. Molding Operators are scheduled for 8 hour shifts, 5 days a week, with no swing shift schedule. We offer a year-round, climate-controlled work environment, shift bonuses, and on-the-job training.

This individual should be self-motivated, have an attention to detail, can work with little or no supervision, and is available for overtime if necessary. Molding Operators will also interface with people, machines, tools, and supplies to produce, package, and monitor the quality of plastic parts and assemblies.
