Happy Independence Day! On this day we remember and celebrate our Revolutionary War Patriots who helped secure our nation's independence. From those Patriots, to all those who have fought to keep our nation strong, and to those who continue to defend our freedoms today – WE THANK YOU! We hope everyone has a happy and safe Fourth of July!

Today is National Vietnam War Veterans Day (NVWVD)! March 29 marks seven years since The Vietnam War Veterans
Recognition Act of 2017 was signed into law, designating its perpetual commemoration like that of our other military-centric annual observances, such as Memorial Day, Independence Day and Veterans Day.

The name Texas is derived from "Tejas," a Spanish word in turn derived from the Native American Caddo word "taysha," which means friendship. Please pray for those affected—especially our DAR sisters whose families, livestock, homes and ranches have been affected.

Our chapter just celebrated our 123rd birthday last month. Happy Birthday Monument Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution!

Monument Chapter members at a Minnesota Fort Snelling plaque dedication on Friday as part of our MNSSDAR state conference.

The Minnesota State Society dedicated the first America 250! plaque in the state of Minnesota. It was a cold rainy day in Little Falls on April 15, but one of our Monument Chapter daughters was prepared… umbrella and all!

Monument Chapter daughters proudly support the Fisher House - Minneapolis by volunteering their time on a monthly basis. The daughters also donate supplies and gift cards throughout the year for veterans and their families. 🇺🇸
