Parent Crossing Guards Needed! Caregivers, help our kids get in and out of school safely these first 2 weeks of school. Our 5th grade safety patrol needs some time to be trained, and in the meantime, please consider volunteering to act as a crossing guard.

We're changing up our "Stock The Fridge Events." In years past, this was done monthly by grade level. We are now opening up each monthly "stock the fridge" to everyone in the school. Help out when you can!

Looking to volunteer in the classroom on your own schedule? Look no further!

Art Adventure is the BEST way to get involved. It's art + crafts + a meaningful way to get to know your child's class. Don't worry about being an art buff or a Pinterest parent. We give you everything you need.

It's about 1 hour/month from November - April, scheduled around your availability. Our goal is to have 2-3 parents per classroom to make it extra easy and fun.

Picture Day at Connect & Assess Reminder + Volunteers Needed!

Don’t forget…party at Pamela Park after school Friday from 2:30 - 4 pm!

Jilly Beans ice cream truck will be at the celebration from 2:45-3:45 pm, and each 5th grader will receive one free ice cream treat. Siblings and families are welcome to purchase treats. The weather is looking a little wet, but the party will happen rain or shine, so please stop by!

Tomorrow is Field day! Please make sure your child has sunscreen & water.

There will be two shifts, Grades K-2 8:00 am - 10:15 am & Grades 3-5 10:15 am - 12:20 pm

We are excited for Concord’s Annual Field Day on Thursday, May 23rd!

What to wear/bring to school: Please send your child to school dressed for the weather as they will be outside for 2 hours! Students should wear comfortable clothes, athletic shoes (no flip flops), and the appropriate classroom assigned t-shirt color (Find your class shirt colors here). They should also bring a labeled water bottle and wear/bring sunscreen.

Schedule: The schedule for the day will be as follows:

Grades K-2 will participate in Field Day from 8:15 am - 10:15 am

Grades 3-5 will participate in Field Day from 10:25 am - 12:10 pm

Lunch times will be adjusted slightly to accommodate the morning field day activities.

Tomorrow is Bike or Walk to school day!

Join the fun on two feet or two wheels as we promote road safety and a healthier, greener environment on Walk or Bike to School Day on Wednesday, May 8th.

• Wear green! Show your Concord spirit by wearing your green school shirt, then rest your legs with snacks and music.
• Win extra recess! The two grades with the most participants will win, so ask your classmates to join in if they can.

TOO FAR FROM CONCORD? Meet for a group walk or ride from Pamela Park, on 60th and Oaklawn! Departure is 7:15 am.

Do you dance, play a musical instrument, tell jokes, juggle, sing, perform magic tricks, do gymnastics, read poetry, or more? All students in grades 1-5 are invited to showcase their unique talents in this year's Variety Show to be held on Friday, May 17th. Grades 3-5 will show their talents at 8:30am with Grades 1 & 2 performing at 1:00pm in the Concord Upper Gym. You can perform on your own or with friends! Cinco De Mayo Taco Bar - Monday May 6th

We will be serving 100 staff members during their individual lunch periods for Staff Appreciation Week. The week starts on Monday May 6th with the Taco Bar. To ensure the food is fresh, please deliver your items at the specified time or during the given time frame.

Thanks for helping out! The teachers and staff truly appreciate all the food (& love)! For crockpots, please use a crockpot liner if possible to help with cleaning up.

Save the Date: 5th Grade Graduation - May 30th

5th Grade Graduation will take place on Thursday, May 30th from 12:30 - 1:15 pm in the Concord Upper Gym. Please arrive no earlier than 12:00 pm. Seating will be very limited, so please be considerate when inviting family. Concord siblings are welcome to attend. Please let their teacher know in advance and check them out through the office. More details about fun plans for the 5th graders' last two days as Concord Wildcats will be forthcoming, so stay tuned for more info!
