WINTER BREAK CLOSURE:

Closed from Friday, 12/21/18 to Sunday, January 6, 2019.

Merry Christmas All!

Photos from Sister Evelyn Mourey Center's post 12/23/2018

As our center closes down for the winter break, words cannot express enough how our center has been blessed by generous donors and supporters of our cause to, "serving and enriching those in need."

For example, this year, we had our fist annual Adopt-A-Family Christmas Drive. Our original goal was to provide 10 families with toys for their children and some dry and fresh food items for Christmas. Well, we ended up providing for 25 families! Also, five more families were given toys for their children! So, yes we can, yes we did, and yes, we'll continue on into 2019!

A special thank you to our former board member, Frances Lopez and La Gente Car Club of Imperial Valley and their collaboration with the Desert Southwest Council car clubs. Collaboratively, they donated 65 toys for our drive!

First Annual Adopt-A-Family Christmas Drive Contributors:

The Avalos Family
The Chasang-Crockett-Leimgruber-Martinez-Santos Family
The S. Garcia Family
The Grijalva Family
The Shaner Family

Thank you for your contributions, Imperial Valley!

This Thanksgiving, with the help of the American Brotherhood Aimed Towards Education, ABATE - Local #38, our center helped distribute 150 turkeys this last Saturday to families in need.

Also, United Way of Imperial County donated 11 Thanksgiving dinners and Union Bank contributed 5 Thanksgiving gift baskets to our center to forward the generosity to more families.

Last but not least, our Legacy Contributors' pulled through to continue the generous feast when our center was asked to provided a Thanksgiving Package (pictured below) to 3 families that have loved ones battling through cancer during this holiday. Yes we can, and did!

Thank you Imperial Valley for trusting and allowing us to continue "Serving and Enriching those in Need" in our communities.

Be safe and festive all!
