Over the past several months, NCOs and Soldiers from the 377th Transportation Company have been busy assisting the 1AD museum staff in moving armored vehicles and tanks as they continue with the redesign project which when complete, will incorporate three museums (1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss and the Museum of the Non-Commissioned Officer) in one facility.

Over the course of the past few months the NCOs and Soldiers moved 579 tons of equipment, which is equivalent to 1,157,329 pounds. Over 1 million Pounds. GREAT JOB TITANS.

Juneteenth, also referred to as Freedom Day, celebrates the emancipation of the enslaved people in America.

- On June 19, 1865, the U.S. Army arrived in Galveston, Texas, two and a half years after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, with news that the Civil War ended along with slavery. Roughly 250,000 people gained their freedom. As we remember this day in history, let us come together, knowing that our people are our greatest strength.
