Tonight was my last meeting presiding as MEHP at Park Place Chapter No. 458, and TIM at Park Place Council No. 373. I’m not sure where the year went, but it flew by fast. Thank you to all the Companions for the support and guidance you gave me.

Companions of District 23 (El Paso) please make plans to attend York Rite this Wednesday at 19:00hrs. It will be Chapter/Council. Both of the deputies will be in attendance and we will discuss some pertinent information about the conference in May!

Also, dinner starts at 18:00 provided by the wonderful ladies of the Beauceant.

El Paso York Rite gave a presentation on Cryptic masonry. RIDDGM Nas Morcos presented an insightful lecture on Council Masonry. RWDDGM of blue lodge was impressed. Now is the time to join the York Rite!

It was a true privilege to present a 50 Year Service Award to Glen McCandless this evening: thank you, Companion, for all of the work you have done for Masonry in our area.

Companions, please be on the lookout next month for the Chapter/Council meeting. We will be conferring degrees very soon. In addition, we will be expounding on the Conference in May. York Rite of El Paso had its first practice since the holidays. We are looking to start conferring the Chapter degrees on the waiting candidates. Please be on the lookout. Tuesday is practice at 19:00hrs.

In the Blue/Craft lodge degrees we see a common theme: life, death, and resurrection. This theme is commonly used within Freemasonry. For example, we are urged to spiritually represent all three with regards to the temple.
Where is the life, death and resurrection? This theme continues in the York Rite degrees. As a Master Mason the temple is not yet completed and the Master is given a substitute word. The completion of the temple you spiritually represent is completed, the true word is found, and the temple falls and is rebuilt within York Rite degrees.
This is a lesson every Freemason should experience!
