This is the congresswoman for District 5 (79938). We have spoken to her about an unconstitutional ordinance the city is imposing on residents. Waste Management is a separate department from EP Water. What you may not have noticed is you are being forced into a contract you didn’t agree to. Waste Management makes you rent a trash can from them or they won’t pick up your trash. We can buy a trash can to save some money, and take our trash to a local trash dump for free. The Waste Management Department is not in the interest of El Pasoans. After speaking to Mrs. Salcido last year, we have been waiting on a resolution from her office.

As someone who took an oath to the constitution, she is duty bound to act. However, she has elected to pass the buck. We need to take advantage of the voice we have. We can’t keep allowing politicians to pursue their own agenda without ensuring our interests were considered and provided for. We don’t care about party, we care about our interests. In my opinion, elected officials are mismanaging money at an alarming rate. Too many city workers/officials are unhelpful, and unaccountable. We requested an audit of the Attorney General’s Child Support Program. We have irrefutable proof this department is mismanaging funds as we speak. We have filed an official request with the Texas Auditor’s Office. We have yet to receive a response. We have requested a meeting with the mayor. However Mayors Office El Paso City Hall refuses to meet with citizens. We have to stop allowing this.

No matter what party you represent, study the candidates closely. Look into how they handled issues in prior positions. See if they freely interacted with constituents, or hid behind secretaries. Did they fulfill or break their campaign promises? Require something of these candidates for your vote. Whatever YOUR issue may be, see who is willing to do something in your interest, and hold them accountable for doing it. There are positions that affect your everyday life like judges, district attorneys, sheriffs, city council, and more. These people are about to be in your face asking for something. Make sure they give you something in return for what they ask of you…

How is Child Support Calculated in Texas? 08/25/2022

Is Child Support in Texas fair? The calculation is based off of what the non-custodial parent makes. U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates in 2015, it took roughly $13k annually to care for the average child. If the non-custodial parent makes minimum wage, that’s roughly $2k in child support. The $11k balance falls on the custodial parent regardless of income. Comment your opinion below! https://youtu.be/U7cNDrdNON8

‘Republicans Have Done Nothing Meaningful’: Veronica Escobar Promotes Bill To Ban Assault Weapons 08/01/2022

Congresswoman Veronica Escobar has no respect for the constitution, or common sense. She wants to remove your right to defend your family. “Assault weapons” are out there on the streets. Criminals don’t follow laws, so the person kicking in your door will have one, but you will not. Instead of providing adequate mental health care, she wants to penalize law abiding citizens. It’s not about D or R. It’s about your constitutional rights. https://youtu.be/1w4lp3thdQ8

11/19/2021

Congresswoman Veronica Escobar We need a bill to correctly identify outlets from talk shows. News outlets present information in an objective, and unbiased way. are confused on what to believe not because spreads misinformation, but because so-called news outlets are presenting information in a biased way. The bill needs to institute checks and balances to ensure the information disseminated is completely objective. This way, Americans can make their own decisions on what party they agree with on a particular issue.

Has failed as a leader. We raised issues (including police brutality) last February. We attempted to work with her office to resolve them. What we found was that she had no interest in actually resolving any issues. She dodged issues and simply did not respond when it was time for her to merely take an official position. What she said in private was very different from what she said in public. Her zeal for justice wavered when it was time to roll up her sleeves and do the work. We waited to post our communications because we were hoping to find common ground. However, we now realize her intentions is to avoid the issue and hopefully get elected to a second term without having to serve her constituents. Below are our conversations. Take a look and decide if this candidate’s resume warrants your vote!

El Paso congresswoman talks coronavirus, police reform and white supremacy 08/28/2020

is being very dishonest in this interview and we have the receipts! We contacted her office at the beginning of this year in regards to policing. She introduced us to (City Manager of Public Safety) and (Head of Internal Affairs). These individuals clearly had no intentions of changing anything. Running into this brick wall, we regrouped. A couple weeks after the murder, her office reached out to us for “input”. We politely explained we weren’t interested in symbolic gestures, and if she was serious about getting our input she would need to contact us directly. To our pleasant surprise she setup a zoom meeting. During the course of this meeting we addressed several issues, but the most important was the legalized slavery that exists in 2020. We felt it was premature to discuss plans for equality when slavery hasn’t been abolished. We asked her to give us a gesture of good faith and draft legislation to outlaw slavery by removing the clause from the 13th amendment. We are still awaiting an answer. She said she is “looking into it”. We aren’t sure what that means so we asked her to clarify, but have yet to receive an response. We believe in today’s climate where racial equality is at the forefront of public discussion, this is the perfect opportunity to correct “America’s original sin”. We can’t begin the healing process if we are still subjected to the same treatment. Slavery is detestable in any form, for any reason. We are hoping Congresswoman Escobar agrees. However, her lack of honesty is cause to pause..

El Pasoans,

We had a meeting with Dionne Mack, and LT Lanahan of Internal Affairs. In this meeting we addressed policing in El Paso. While it was acknowledged there was room for improvement, there was no genuine interest or effort to change the status quo. When we posed the question “what can citizens do to protect themselves if they are being violated by police?”. The answer we got was “comply, and file a complaint later”. Not only do we find this answer unacceptable, but it appears to be factually incorrect as well.

We can’t do this alone. We need the support of the community to show them this is something we take issue with. Alone, we are being stonewalled. We need people to get involved! We’ve made progress, but there is more work to do!

We need 25 people for a class on Police Interaction. Tag someone that may be interested!

El Pasoans,

One of the positions on the ballot is District Attorney. This is a very important position in our local government. This election is important for many different reasons. One of the main ones is the Mass Shooting that took place recently. It is highly likely that the trial of the Shooter will receive national attention and thrust the District Attorney’s office into the national spotlight. This is important because it raises the question of motive for these candidates running. As a community, we need to make sure the candidates #1 priority is serving the community, and not their career aspirations. This requires a careful vetting of candidates. There are 4 candidates running:

James Montoya
Yvonne Rosales
Karen D***s
Roger Montoya

Please do your due diligence to vet these candidates. Make it a point to understand them, and their plans. Be open to every candidate. Pay attention to endorsements. Sometimes, the endorsements a candidate receives can tell you what organizations or agencies they will favor. Election is right around the corner! Let’s get to know our candidates!

Below is the link for the “Veteran’s Court” information. is using this as one of his talking points for the election. On it’s face, it appears to be a good program. However, these two very important details that aren’t being disclosed about the program that need to be discussed...

1. The program is NOT available to veterans if the DA is asking for prison time.

2. Entry into the program is contingent upon approval from the DA. To

We just spoke with Judge Ruben Nunez. We asked his position on adjudicating cases. We wanted to know if he took an empathetic approach. He basically said he’s by the book. What do we think a good judge is supposed to look like?

It’s almost Early Voting time! These are some of the most important elections that you won’t hear about! These judges running for these positions determine what happens to our loved ones if they happen to stumble into the system. The other is running for the city commissioner in pct 3. These positions affect our daily lives in a major way. We need to know who we should vote for!

*Board of Education*

We are beginning to address another issue. The Texas Board of Education is INTENTIONALLY miseducating our children. This can be evidenced by the curriculum. It is FACTUALLY incorrect. When a SISD teacher was asked by a student why are they teaching misinformation, the response was “because I’ll get fired”. This is unacceptable. We send our children to school to be properly educated. The public school system takes pretty much half of the tax revenue brought in by the city. We need an explanation as where these funds are going, and why are teachers being forced to teach incorrect information. Our children do not have much of the pertinent information necessary to prepare them for their first summer job. There is no information on Banking, Financing, or credit score. This fundamental information for a successful transition into adulthood. We need answers!
