Southwest Freightlines is hiring an Equipment Controller (Pay DOE)

The Equipment Controller position is designated to oversee and control all SWF equipment (Tractors and Trailers). This position requires good management, excellent communication skills, ability to coordinate information between the shop and dispatch department and willingness to work on projects/reports with deadlines.

Key Responsibilities –
• Keep updated list on equipment.
• Report weekly mileage for all trucks.
• Monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly miles for each driver and truck.
• Make a bi-weekly physical inventory, directly from drivers, for all OTR drop yards.
• Update daily detention charges for customers.
• Assist with Fuel Department.
• Cut, clean, and put on logos on trucks and trailers as required.
• Create monthly driver incentive report.
• Take pictures of trailers when requested (Damaged, seal change or customer wanting photographic evidence.)
• Work on any reports requested by higher management (President, Operations Manager, Comptroller, Safety Director)
• Assist on any other project, question or work requested.

Skills / Knowledge Required –
Ability to establish priorities and manage workload
Knowledge on Word / Excel / Load Master / Data Reader / Omnitracs / Google Spreadsheet / EFS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
Capacity of switching tasks based on demand
Meeting deadlines for time-sensitive reports
