RISING 5th Grade Students/Parent - A well-rounded education includes the arts. The arts encourage creativity, innovation, and self-confidence—essential skills for a 21st century workforce. The arts have been shown to reach students that don’t learn well through traditional methods, sparking an interest in learning and academic achievement.
Don Haskins PK - 8 was chosen for a pilot program for the coming year. We are very lucky to add an additional choice for electives. Our fifth grade students will have the choice of Band, Orchestra and Art/Music. Students may choose only 1. Please review this survey with your child and share 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices.
The counselors will do their best to fulfill student choices. Band will be limited to 20 students, it will be all brass instruments.
Please respond at your earliest convenience. This is for 5th grade students for the 2024-25 School year.
We love our students and staff. You are the most amazing people!
