Today, Luisa and Daniela visited AYUDA Inc. in San Elizario in honor of International Domestic Workers Day. AYUDA Inc. assists individuals to advocate for their communities in order to achieve a better quality of life. Today’s event featured the women of AYUDA who have been domestic workers, giving them the opportunity to tell their stories and highlight the ways in which AYUDA has helped them achieve their personal goals.
On behalf of the CWS program, the CCE was excited to announce a new partnership with AYUDA Inc. in which a UTEP student from San Elizario will have the opportunity to intern with AYUDA Inc. to further their educational and professional goals.
We are proud of our students contributions to their communities. We are excited for the additional impact that is yet to come from this partnership.
🎓✨ We are thrilled to share a truly inspiring moment from this year's El Paso Campus graduation ceremony! Triumph Public High Schools very own Aislinn Valles, a 2023 alumni and current work-study through the Center for Community Engagement at the University of Texas at El Paso, graced the ceremony as a guest speaker.
Aislinn has been an integral part of SAPI's Project Visión program, working closely with both the Triumph Public High School El Paso East and Triumph Public High Schools El Paso West campus staff and students. Her speech not only reflected on her positive experiences and outcomes at Triumph Public High Schools but she also emphasized how effort, consistency, and belief in oneself can lead to triumph.
Aislinn said, “As you navigate through life, always remember the values instilled in you by your family, teachers, and the community.”
Thank you, Aislinn, for continuing to inspire and contribute to our community. Your journey encourages us all to see the bright possibilities ahead!
