We are a historical short line railroad located on the Stone Gables Estate located in Elizabethtown Pa.

We are getting ready to kick off the 2024 operating season! Our first day of operations are scheduled for March 23rd along with the 29th and 30th. This is our Easter season with trains departing on the hour beginning at 9am until 3pm.

As the year draws to an end, we would like to extend the deepest thank you to all who have supported our operation and came out to ride with us in 2023. Our crews work behind the scenes and long hours at times throughout the year to ensure you have a wonderful and safe experience. With the holiday season winding down, we have already began working on organizing events and an operating schedule for 2024. During the down time, the locomotive will undergo standard maintenance that’s required due to normal wear and tear. More work continues on the Annual inspection of locomotive #331. A correct oil firing valve sourced from Hayden Seybold has been installed, and the new throttle valve Designed and by our CMO Alex Horneman has been installed and tested and seats perfectly.
We would also like to thank JC McHugh of MCHUGH LOCOMOTIVE AND EQUIPMENT for donating time and materials machining the new throttle valve spool. Looking forward to the start of the operating season soon!
Looking for a Fun Family easter Weekend? On April 7th and 8th, the Harrisburg Lincoln and Lancaster rail road will be opening for the 2023 season with our popular Bunny Hop Express train rides! On Friday April 7th, there will also be Easter themed events on the Stone Gables Estate property including activities such as an Egg Hunt, petting zoo, vendors, and Ice cream made using our 1/3rd scale Steam Tractor!

PRR No. 331 Exits the train shed amongst the fog bound for Belmont Station. The train will tie up there for the evening Christmas light drive through, it’s proper oil headlamp illuminating the rails ahead.

We would like to welcome the Harrisburg Lincoln and Lancaster Railroads Newest Fireman to the team, Mr. Kurtis Hooey. Kurtis Has joined us for our very busy christmas season and has has done an excellent job of learning to fire rather quickly. We are glad to have him onboard!

I had to start firing up our locomotive this morning at 0400. First order of biz was lighting the new, replica, 1860s, oil lamps custom made Cornus by Madison Kirkman & Kirkman Lanterns. Seen herr the water glass lamp and steam gauge lamp. Couldn't be more pleased with the quality and attention to authentic details!
