Today Kiwanis club members were lucky to be out at Rau Park serving up a BBQ lunch for some special friends as they celebrated the end of their baseball season. Champions Baseball League gives kids ages 6+ an opportunity to play baseball in an inclusive league. We love being a part of this celebration. Huge thanks to Elk Grove Police Department for the use of their BBQ trailer.

At our Kiwanis Club March Meeting last night, we welcomed our Lt Governor Dave Arnold to our meeting, along with members of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Sacramento. Since Dave was in attendance, he installed our fabulous new member Sara into our club! We are so lucky to have met her. She volunteers her time with CAUSEplay for Hope! If you are attending our Carnitas and Margaritas Feed Fundraiser, you may see her in costume too - since it is May 4th (Star Wars Day)!

It might have been a bit chilly this morning, but 32 magnet fishers, club members and some of our Key Club helpers came out to Elk Grove Park to get rid of debris from the pond. It's amazing the trash people throw in our waterways! We took out over 2.5 pounds of trash this year!

For , club members Kirsten, Tony, Dan, and Rita delivered a total of 150 holiday gift bags to the Elk Grove Unified School District’s foster and unhomed youth programs and Kaiser Hospital South Sacramento’s Oncology Department. Thank you to all who supported our fundraisers during the year so we could make this happen for our community.
