District-wide financial cutbacks in education have made community support necessary to continue providing materials and opportunities to our music students. The Booster Club provides a major source of the fundraising revenues that provide for band equipment purchase and repair, music purchases, competition fees, cost for special instruction, and performance travel by band students.

Our Final General Band Booster Meeting & Board Elections is May 16th at 7pm in the Band Room.
If you are interested in being a member of the board, assisting a position or helping with events we encourage you to attend. Some positions are empty and need volunteers!

Our annual Spring concert for PGHS Concert and Jazz Band is tomorrow, May 9th.
Where: Sheldon Performong Arts Center
Time: Doors open at 6:45pm
Concert begins at 7pm
Cost: $5 per person at the door. Students are free!
We hope to see you there as we celebrate all the student’s accomplishments and recognise the Senior class of 2024!

This past Saturday (5/4), PGHS Concert and Jazz Band performed at Golden Empire Music Festival. They performed well! The judges shared with Mr. Souliere they received a unanimous Superior rating from all three judges! Congratulations PGHS Concert Band! 🎉🎶

Yesterday, the students participated in a sound session at Imagination Campus. They were able to play and record selected pieces of Disney music. Kids did great, Disney was super complimentary. They had a great time!

We have already had our share of adventures on our annual Disneyland trip. Stopped for dinner for longer than expected. Thankfully, they were able to jumpstart one of the buses. Captured some pictures at our stop and ran into former Booster Band President Robin. We’re back on the road on our way to our hotel.

All Students (who are going to Disney) and Chaperones must attend this brief meeting after marching practice on

The Annual Benefit Concert Dinner Event (ABCDE 😉) on March 21st was a HUGE success! Your donations raised DOUBLE the funds raised during last year's successful event. These funds will go a long way to help support the band's activities moving forward.
2024-25 Booster Board Nominations:
* We are still looking for volunteers to join the 2024-25 Booster Board.
* PLEASE CONSIDER any of the positions for which you have an interest by reviewing and completing this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScPfOFlIEUx1IqzmPniUH2noZ2DpHJlMw5N7B9uRQz4n9hAbA/viewform
* The current board needs to have a completed slate of nominees by May 7th so the General Booster Members can vote at our last General Booster meeting on May 16th.
Disneyland Updates
* It is now LESS THAN 2 WEEKS until we head to Disneyland! For those who need a reminder, we leave on Thur, Apr 11th.
* Mr. Souliere distributed the final packet and, if you haven't already, permission slips must be signed returned ASAP!
* Everyone who is going to Disneyland (Students and Chaperones) must attend a brief meeting after marching practice at 5pm on Wed, Apr 10.
* NON-Chaperone Parents/Family Members who are riding the bus down and back need to have $100 payment/person in before Wed, Apr 10. Please reach out to me to confirm and coordinate payment.
