Thank you everyone for coming out to the Spring Carnival last night. It was a great turnout and the kids had a lot of fun!

Discounted Western Festival ride wristbands are still available this week. You save $10 and the school earns $5 for each wristband sold. If you are going to the festival this is a great deal!

Spring Book Fair starts Monday!

Students will be able to visit the book fair during their normal library time, at lunch recess, and for 30 minutes after school (with an adult).

The book fair will also be open Friday night during the Spring Carnival from 6:00-8:00 pm.

There a tons of books to choose from for kids and adults. Come check it out!

April 27 is our school carnival!

If you own a business, we would like to invite you to share your products with our school community.

Booths are free of charge, but we are asking that you donate 15% of your profits back to the school.

Monies received will-be-used to support the Sixth grade science camp field trip to Alliance Redwoods.

Hello Butler Families, in case you didn’t receive the email.... this Saturday from 8-10am is our annual Breakfast with Santa. Tickets are pre-sale only as we are having the event catered, please turn in your forms by Thursday. Breakfast is $5 per person, but visits and pictures are free. I hope to see you all there!!! 🎅🏻🎄

It's election time! Check your child's communications folder tonight for your PTO Board Member Elections Ballot and make your selections for the 2016-17 School Year.

Also, don't forget to mark your calendar for the first meeting of the new PTO Board. All parents/caregivers are welcome and encouraged to attend Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Arthur C. Butler Elementary library.

Message from the Principal....

Hello Butler Families!

I hope you are enjoying your break! We are excited for our new year together which begins on July 14th for B,C, and D tracks and August 8 for A track. Our B, C, and D class lists are now posted! Come by to see who your new teacher is and who is in your class!

We also want to make you aware of some exciting changes for next year. Please find attached our new bell schedule with changes to our recess, lunch, and breakfast service times. If your child is dropped off for breakfast, they will now enter the side multipurpose room door as our gates will be locked. Once they come in for breakfast, we will supervise them in the multipurpose room until 7:45.

Please also note that beginning next year, our school gates will be open from 7:45-8:00. Our supervision for students begins at 7:45 so we ask that you make arrangements to ensure that your children are only here before 7:45 if they are joining us for breakfast.

You will notice on our bell schedule that instruction begins at 8:00. We will be closing our gates promptly at 8:00. If children arrive after 8:00, they will come to the office for a tardy pass. If you miss a minute of the instruction at Butler, you miss a lot!

I hope to see you all at our Back to School Nights on Thursday, July 14th for BCD tracks and Thursday, August 11 for A track. Both evenings begin with a principal presentation in the multi from 6:00-6:30 followed by two identical presentations in classrooms from6:30-7:00 and again from 7:00-7:30. I look forward to continuing to meet each of you and to get to know your children and your families!

It's Book Fair time! !!

Butler spring book fair starts on Monday! Come by and support your child school. Hours are 7:30 -3:00 Monday - Wednesday. 7:30 - 2:00 Thursday and 7:30 - 1:00 on Friday.

Next week Butler will celebrate all of our hard working staff. The PTO considers all our staff so important and want to celebrate them. Please choose any day or everyday and surprise your child's teacher with a sweet treat, a nice note or simple classroom supplies.
The PTO will be providing a hearty lunch and a small token of thanks for them on Tuesday.

Tomorrow is track change! School gets out at 12:30. B track families, have a great 3 week vacation. A track families, see you on Tuesday, April 5th.

Butlers Annual Family picnic is this Friday, March 18th.
Come join your student during their lunchtime, listen to some music, enjoy the weather and celebrate their hard work this year.
Bring them a special lunch and enjoy it together.
1st & 2nd grade 11-11:40
3rd & 4th grade 11:40-12:20
5th & 6th grade 12:20-1:00

Join us this Friday, February 12th from 6-8pm for our family dance. Tickets are $4.00 per person/$12.00 family 4 pack in advance or $5.00 at the door.
Spend the evening dressed up with the family, sweet snacks and fun music.

Please come and join us for our monthly PTO meeting tomorrow February 3rd at 5pm in the library. PTO is always looking for fresh and new ideas to help raise money for our school!!!

Ok parents, let's get those box tops in!!! We receive $1 for just 10 of them. If each student turned in just 10 our PTO would receive over $900. This money goes towards funding our library, and helping our teachers with supplies that they need for their classrooms. If you don't have time to put them on the sheets, you can count them, put them in a ziploc in increments of 50. Every Box Top helps!!!

Join us tomorrow in the library at 5:00pm for our monthly meeting. Volunteers are needed to help maintain our monthly track change movies.

We're back to school tomorrow! A, B and D tracks resume school tomorrow. Musical Theater registration starts tomorrow and the Winter Spirit Wear order is due on Friday.

Come join Butler's PTO in our annual breakfast with Santa Saturday December 12th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tickets are available for purchase in advance only purchases must be made by Wednesday, December 9th. $5 adults/ $3 kids. Breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and juice. As always, visits and pictures with Santa are free. We also plan to have Sheldon High School vocal ensemble and Butlers choir perform for us.
