It is with deep sadness we share one of our administrative staff members’ husband, Harry Takhar, passed away unexpectedly, leaving a hole in our hearts. Harry was a former employee at Cosumnes CSD, a loving husband, father and friend to many. If you would like to share your love and support for the family, consider a donation to help cover funeral and memorial service costs from this untimely and unexpected loss. Thank you.

On November 6, 2022, I will join a team of 50 athletes living with Type 1 diabetes who will race through the five boroughs of NYC and show the world what living Beyond Type 1 looks like! I am running the 2022 NYC Marathon with Beyond Type 1, a nonprofit organization changing what it means to live with diabetes. Through platforms, programs, resources, and grants, Beyond Type 1 is uniting the global diabetes community and providing solutions to improve lives today. I’m running the NYC Marathon to support their efforts and show the world Diabetes doesn’t control you, you control Diabetes. By supporting my efforts, you will be contributing to me giving a face to Type 1 Diabetes.
