In observance of the holiday, our Blaine and Minnetonka Urgency Centers will open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. All other North Memorial Health Clinics and Urgent Cares will be closed today. Normal business hours will resume tomorrow, May 28.

We're thrilled to announce that North Memorial Health – Robbinsdale Hospital has been selected as the winner of the 2024 Minnesota Hospital Association Coordination of Care Award!

This prestigious award acknowledges the exceptional work of our Manager of Care Management, Kayla Carlson, who led a successful initiative to reduce patient length of stay for complex cases. Kayla's dedication and collaborative spirit were instrumental in reducing patient length of stay by over 500 days per month for complex cases.

We're incredibly proud of Kayla and the entire Care Management team for their outstanding work.

North Memorial Health's nurse residency program supports recently hired new graduates transition to practice with evidence-based curriculum. During this 12-month program, cohorts of nurses do simulations, didactic escape rooms, develop a quality improvement project, and more with the support of nursing leaders, nurse educators, and various subject matter experts throughout the organization.

These leaders, who provide mentorship and expertise to facilitate the nursing cohort's development, share invaluable insight into the profession on topics ranging from health literacy and patient education to skin care and conflict management.

Thank you to the nurses who choose North and those who continue to share their knowledge and passion with recent graduates. The future of nursing is filled with changemakers who are advancing healthcare, and we're honored to be part of the team.

North Memorial Health volunteer, Dottie, has spent the last 11+ years serving patients at our Cancer Center in Robbinsdale. As a cancer survivor herself, Dottie can empathize with our patients while wanting to make them as comfortable as possible. One of the ways she does this is by handing out donated port pillows to chemo patients as shown in this picture. Additionally, she enjoys engaging in conversations with patients, bringing refreshments by, and handing out warm blankets!
