Sarpy Chiropractic teamed up with D.R.A.C. to collect backpacks for students in need, and we crushed our goal by collecting 73 backpacks!!! 🥳🥳

Sarpy Chiropractic has some revised adjusting hours this week, make sure to take a look if you plan to come in!

While the science is clear that healthy red meat doesn't cause cancer, we do have to be careful of food preparation! 🥩

Cooking meat above 300F or over an open flame does cause carcinogenic compounds to form and destroys some of the healthy nutrients. Low and slow is the way to go!

If you love grilling and cooking at higher temps however, you can do a few things to offset those carcinogenic compounds that form.

Eat rosemary, lemon juice, organic red wine, onions, garlic, or black cherries with the cooked meat to lessen some of the damage that will be caused to your body. 😎👊

Did you know chiropractic can help babies with constipation?

After helping a patient through her pregnancy with acupuncture and chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Jess had the pleasure of being able to adjust the adorable newborn! 🥰

This little guy had been feeling very constipated. After a gentle adjustment, he went home and pooped within 2 hours! 😁

📍I grew up in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. Went to undergrad at Briar Cliff University. Chiropractic school at Northwestern Health Science University. Came to Omaha with my husband who was at Offutt AFB.

Last week, we celebrated Sarpy Chiropractic Elkhorn being open one year! Thank you to everyone who has supported us this last year and continues to spread the word about Sarpy Chiropractic! We are so grateful!

Here’s something many Elkhorn residents may not know about me. It altered my course of life and is a big reason why I’m committed to giving back. I spent most of my childhood dreaming of becoming a medical doctor and working in a small family practice helping heal people just like my grandma (a nurse) and my uncle (an ER Physician).

Everything changed in my freshman year of high school when I badly injured my hip playing football. The pain was bad enough, but not being able to compete was mentally even more painful. I tried to tough it out because I didn’t want to lose any playing time.

My parents took me to our family physician and he prescribed ice, ibuprofen and rest for two weeks. That plan was frustrating to me because I wanted to be doing something active towards getting better, not just masking the symptoms. Plus, the prescribed treatment didn’t seem to be helping at all and I was worried I was going to have to deal with this hip pain for the rest of my life! This would mean I would have to potentially quit the sport I loved.

That was when my parents suggested we try our local chiropractor. I didn’t have any prior experience with chiropractic and had no idea what to expect but I was willing to give anything a try. The chiropractor worked with me as I continued to play football and I was able to not miss a single game. It was amazing! I remember how great it felt to be able to notice a difference immediately after each treatment and how much better I felt overall.

That was when I knew I wanted to become a chiropractor, so I could help others who were also suffering needlessly. I fell in love with the idea of being able to help people heal without the use of drugs or surgery. Of course, some people need to go down that road, but relief can be found for so many others without needing drugs or surgery.

I joined the team at Sarpy Chiropractic after graduating from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, Kansas. There was not a doubt in my mind that Sarpy Chiropractic was the best choice for me to be able to help the most people in an effective, efficient, and affordable way. Our team of doctors with over 50 years combined experience focus on providing an amazing customer experience along with great clinical results.

Sarpy Chiropractic was such a perfect fit for me to fulfill my passion of guiding people back to health and allowing them to live life to the fullest. No one should ever have to suffer needlessly or allow pain to control their life. I look forward to serving the Elkhorn community for many of the next decades to come.
