Bensidoun USA is set to present a vibrant market highlighting local artisan foods and goods.

The Elmhurst French Market will be located at the municipal lot at 180 W. Park at the corner of Park and Prospect. The duration of the market would be Sundays from June through September, from 9am – 2pm. This was identified as an ideal space and time for the market, with no need for street closure or barricades, and ample surrounding public parking.

Bensidoun will be offering Elmhurst businesses who apply in March the first right of refusal for participation in the market. They are also offering Elmhurst businesses a 25% discount. Vendors provide their own 10x10 tents

An Evening with Jeanette Andrews

We do things as a salon all the time. If you check out our stories, come into the salon, and chat with us, you know that. The bad part is... reposting. What ends up happening is pictures and videos get stuck on a camera roll. Better late than never!

It's never too late, right? We went out last Thursday. We started with an early day at the salon. We opened at 10 am instead of the usual 12 pm (Thursday) so we could get everyone in for the day and leave earlier.

We started the evening at Modern Plate for appetizers and drinks. Yum, yum, yum. It was so good. Definitely be back there. A whole purpose for going out, though, a magic show! Elmhurst Center for the Performing Arts hosted magician Jeanette Andrews. Originally from Wheaton, IL, but now performs and lives in New York.

Our group was taken care of from the start at Modern Plate, through the performance at Stage 119, and even the end - the magician Jeanette chatted with Delilah (front desk) and gave her a fabric cutting from her last trick. We sat in a VIP section, roped off for us during the show.

Wle even had a little sign made with our logo, which we kept for posterity and is hanging in our back room. It was a fun night hanging out style.
