Meet Madison, our Produce-Processing Queen and self-proclaimed Dishwashing Barbie!

The best thing about harvest season is the abundance of fresh, locally grown produce available for cafe lunches. The second best thing about harvest season is our Produce-Processing Queen, Madison. Here’s what she has to say about her experience volunteering at Cafe 180:

“I love seeing people in the community. I live really close, so seeing people I see around town and getting to interact with them a little more is really fulfilling. Every volunteer I’ve worked with here has been welcoming - it’s uplifting to be around like-minded people that want to contribute to the community.”

We realize that the changes we are making may seem like a big transition from what we have been doing for the past 13 years. However, our heart is to be a part of the solution. By partnering with organizations in the area who offer an array of services for anyone in need, we will not only provide more free meals, but we will be able to spend time out in the community. We will still offer the catering services you know and love, volunteer opportunities and paid Grab + Go meals for take out (starting 1/15). The attached schedule starts next week. Cafe 180 will no longer be open to in person dining.

The CAFE 180 leadership and board have made this decision based on the changing community and how we feel called to change with it. We feel it's time to create support around new challenges facing the Englewood community.

We're proud to be in the city of Englewood, where many organizations meet the daily needs of our
community. Moving forward, we are excited to work with partner organizations to provide free meals at their facilities throughout the week!

We are looking forward to exploring a new chapter and hope you will continue to stay engaged and support us along the way.

Beginning January 15, we will have limited Grab + Go items for take out Monday-Friday from 11am-2pm.
