Wensleydale (88%) Hogget Fleece Grown by MaggieMoo
MaggieMoo has a unique Baa. She reminds me of a cow, low, long and cow like. She is also one of the up and coming VM Barn Fashionistas. The way she artfully adorns herself with VM reflects her fondness for the classics, yet is infused with a rebellious streak…mainly against her Shepherd who cringes with agony as she skirts her fleece.
Maggie’s fleece required HEAVY skirting by the lock. 50% if it ended up under the table. 😢 What remains is gorgeous fiber with low VM. What VM there is will easily fall out during processing. The fleece is relatively clean but does have some dirty tips but they will soak clean easily. 9” staple, 5.85lbs. No breaks, strong tips, no cotting, relatively low lanolin. This will be easy to process. Well defined locks, nice luster…just a really pretty little fleece. The color is best represented in the dark pics. It’s a soft black with a bluish cast. The tips are dark chocolate. Video of fleece in first comment.
Entire fleece is $146.25. I can easily get this into a large flat rate box for $21.50. PayPal, Venmo or Zelle accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the Sanctuary. 🥰
SOLD
Natural Colored Recessive Romney Ewe Fleece Grown by Stella
Stella is a goofy ewe with a silly sense of humor. She was the cutest lamb ever with adorable markings and a delightful personality. She is a permanent member of the Sanctuary flock due to a large hernia that happened during her first lambing.
Stella is a recessive Romney ewe with unusual coloring. Her fleece is made up of ivory, oatmeal, silver, pewter, and charcoals with some tannish tips.
This fleece is virtually free of VM and very clean. It will be easy process and a joy to spin. 4” staple, lovely luster, very soft hand, no breaks, strong tips, heavily skirted, this is ready to toss into the wash tub the moment you open the box. 6.14 lbs of all usable consistent fiber.
Entire fleece is $92.10. I can easily get this into a medium flat rate box for $16.10. Total is $108.10. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary. 🥰
SOLD
Natural Color Romney Ewe Fleece Grown by Cornelia.
Cornelia has a voice. A loud, distinct BAA that she isn’t afraid to use. If you ever say her name she answers. If you say any word ending in a “A”. She answers. BAA’AAA! Cornelia is 8 years old this year and still very close to her mom Bertha. If I am looking for one or the other I will always find them together.
Cornelia grows a stunning fleece every year. Such a soft hand and lovely luster. She also keeps herself very clean so the VM is minimal. Just shy of a 6” staple, no breaks, strong tips. Lovely consistent crimp and hand. This will be a dream to process and spin.
Heavily skirted by a very picky hand spinner what remains is 9.16 lbs of gorgeous fiber. Entire fleece is $146.50. Shipping is $21.50. Total is $168.00. PayPal happily accepted. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary!
SOLD
Romney ewe fleece grown by Myrtle the Turtle
Myrtle is one of those ewes that never draws attention to herself. She is an easy keeper, who goes about her day in a laid back easy kind of way. She goes with the flow and is happiest being unnoticed. Unless there are treats involved. Treats bring out an entirely different Myrtle. That Myrtle chooses violence over patience when treats are on the line. Treats are life as far as Myrtle is concerned.
Myrtle’s fleece has always been gorgeous. I usually send her fleece off to the mill to be made into yarn, it’s just that nice. High luster, variegated grays, silvers, charcoal and oatmeal. When this is spun up the various shades of gray make a heathery yarn. Overdying this is so much fun. The luster makes the color shimmer and the variegating shades give so much depth. Video of fleece in first comment.
This is a big fleece, 7.89 lbs, 7” staple, heavily skirted, britch and belly removed. Low VM, some dirty tips but they are strong and will scour easily. No breaks, lovely consistency crimp. Did I mention it has a SOFT SOFT hand. This will be a pleasure to work with and it drafts like a dream.
Entire fleece is $126 plus $21.50 shipping. Total $147.50 (I think I can get this into a medium flat rate box, if I can’t I will cover the difference). Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary.
SOLD
Border Leicester Lamb Fleece grown by Nora.
Nora grew a stunning fleece. It’s everything that a Border Leicester fleece should be. Loaded with luster, lovely lock structure, 9” staple, no breaks, strong tips, soft hand, just really really lovely. This will easily pull apart as individual locks. Minimal to Medium VM, that will easily fall out in processing. Some dirty tips that will scour easily. This fleece will be fun & easy to process.
Heavily skirted by a very picky hand spinner. This was difficult to photograph. The darker pics are accurate. This is soft black & dark chocolate with chocolate tips. Videos of fleece in the first two comments.
7.43 lbs of all usable fiber. Britch & belly removed. This is ready to toss into the wash tub when you open the box. It’s partially locked out as I skirted this by the lock in many sections.
Entire fleece is $148.60. This will easily fit into a medium flat rate box for $20 shipping. Total is $168.60.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary. 🥰
Wensleydale/Romney wether shearling fleece grown by Simon.
Simon had a rocky start in life, he badly broke his leg when he was a few weeks old. As he was healing from the break his darling momma succumbed to a raging infection that resisted all veterinary treatment. Simon became a dear little friend during all the treatments on his leg and a lifelong resident in the Sanctuary.
Simon was sheared shortly after his leg healed to ensure that the next shearing wouldn’t have a break, and to remove all lamb tips. HIs second shearing is technically his first, at a year old. (Hope that makes sense).
Simon’s fleece is loaded with luster and pretty locks. It has dusty tips that will scour easily to bright white. There is some sweat, but it’s not yolk or staining and will come clean easily. (See washed lock in pics.) No breaks, strong tips, no cotting and minimal VM. What VM is there will easily fall out in processing. Video of fleece in first comment.
7” -7.5” staple, 5.93lbs of all usable fiber. Heavily skirted by a very picky hand spinner. This is ready to toss in the wash tub when you open the box.
Entire fleece is $135. This will easily fit in a medium flat rate box for $20 shipping. Total $155 PayPal, Zelle or Venmo happily accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary. 🥰
SOLD
Teeswater Wether Fleece grown by Wooliam
Wooliam arrived on the farm a few years ago when he was 45 days old, as a bottle baby. He rapidly became a sweet friend who grew bigger than I expected. Wooliam is now one of the largest sheep on the farm. But still sweet as the day is long.
Wooliam’s only fault…. I should have named him Pig-Pen, because there is a dust cloud following him everywhere he goes. Wooliam says, with pride, that he carries the dust of ancient ovine flocks. I believe Wooliam could get dirty while walking in a rainstorm. Needless to say his fleece is a bit more “dusty” than I like to see. That said, it will clean up easily and scour to bright white.
I skirted this VERY heavily. 5.5 lbs of all usable fiber. 6” staple. Low VM, high luster, some yellowing from sweat, but it washes out easily. It’s not yolk or stained. No breaks. Good tips. Lovely lock structure and no cotting. It’s easy to pull apart into locks. Only held together by dirt/dust.
I am discounting this from the normal Teeswater price due to the dust. It was difficult to photograph. It’s not as dirty or yellow as it appears in the photographs. Video of fleece in first comment.
Entire fleece $121 + $16.10 shipping. Total $137.10. PayPal, Venmo or Zelle accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary!
SOLD
Wensleydale Lamb fleece grown by Webster
Bottle baby Webster has grown an amazing fleece. His fleece just came home from the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival where it placed second. 🥰
14” staple. No breaks. Some tender tips but not many. Low VM, very clean, this will be easy to process. Fleece color is accurate in the darkest pics. It’s primarily black with sun bleached tips. Heavily skirted and partially locked out by a very picky hand spinner. Judges comments on card below.
10.36 lbs. whole fleece is $414.40. Shipping is $21.50. Total is $435.90. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary!
SOLD
Wensleydale/Border Leicester ewe lamb fleece grown by Annabel
Annabel is one of those quiet, watchful lambs. Not a big personality that announces her presence the minute she enters the barn, Annabel is just sorta there, munching quietly, unassuming and happy to be puttering around on her own. In her first seven months of life Annabel grew a lovely little fleece that is so pretty, lustrous divinely soft well formed locks.
This fleece is darker than represented in the pics. It has some sun bleached tips, that are closer to brown than the “orange” in the pics. There are some silver strands among the charcoal. But in general this is primarily charcoal. The camera washed the color out. The darker pics accurately repesent the color well.
Heavily skirted by a very picky hand spinner. There is light VM that will fall out easily in processing. Very clean/no mud. 5.5” staple. No breaks, strong tips. This will be easy to process and is ready to drop in the wash tub the minute you open the bag. 3.01 lbs of all usable fiber. (Britch and belly removed). Video of fleece in first comment.
Entire fleece is $75. Shipping is $16.10 for a total of $91.10. PayPal, Venmo or Zelle happily accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary. 🥰
SOLD 😊
Wensleydale/Coopworth Lamb Fleece grown by Nova
This is an absolutely divine little lamb fleece from ewe lamb Nova. Nova arrived on this earth pitch black in color. In six months she went from black to various shades of charcoal and silver. Some locks have three shades of color along their length. The fleece is primarily charcoal with accents of silver, pewter, dove gray and taupe on some of the tips. The darker pics accurately represent the depth of color in this fleece. Video of fleece in first comment.
The hand is so very lovely. Soft and silky. Gorgeous luster & lock structure. 3.68 lbs. 5.5”-6” staple. No breaks. Strong tips. Low VM. Very clean. This will process easily. Heavily skirted by a very picky hand spinner. This is ready to toss into the wash tub when you open the bag.
Fleece is $103.04. Shipping is $16.10. Total is $119.14. PayPal, Venmo or Zelle happily accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary! 🥰
SOLD
93% Wensleydale lamb fleece grown by Lark
This is a sweet little fleece from a sweet little lamb named Lark. Lark and her twin Finch were born in March to their mother Wren. Lark and Finch are adorable little tricksters. They enjoyed racing around the barn, standing on, then leaping off the backs of any ewe who dared to lay down. Lark was sheared last week at 7 months old. Lark is in lamb in the front of the pic below (taken when they were a month old).
The luster, lock structure and hand of this fleece is really lovely. Low VM, dusty ends (not mud), strong tips, no breaks. This will be a breeze to process. Will scour to bright white easily. 6” staple. 3.20 lbs. Heavily skirted by a very picky hand spinner. This fleece is ready to toss into the wash tub when you open the bag. I had a hard time photographing this fleece. It is not as dirty as it appears. Video of fleece in first comment.
Entire fleece is $86.40. Shipping is $16.10. Total is $102.50. PayPal, Venmo or Zelle happily accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary. 🥰

Both halves SOLD
Wensleydale Ewe Fleece grown by Stormy
Stormy is a special loving friend. When she arrived at the farm she needed quite a bit of vet treatment, once that was taken care of it didn’t take her long to warm up and become part of the “special needs” flock where she is spoiled rotten with the rest of them.
I was concerned her first shearing would have a break, alas I was delighted to find her fleece is strong and healthy. Almost 10” staple, well defined locks, strong tips, and lovely. I can just see these locks felted onto a shawl or adorning a scarf. The possibilities are endless.
I heavily skirted this. The fleece weighed over 12 lbs when I started. What remains is 6.72 lbs of beautiful lustrous locks. The areas of the fleece where there was some VM, I went through it lock by lock and separated the locks and only kept the cleanest. The rest of the fleece is not separated. It will be very easy to pull the locks apart. No cotting. Low VM, some dirty tips that will scour easily. Her fleece was difficult to photograph as the camera keeps washing it out. It’s primarily black, with sun faded tips that are brownish. There are areas with silvers and gray peppered among the black. (Video of fleece in first comment).
The entire fleece is $188. Shipping is $21.50. Total with shipping is $209.50.
I will consider splitting this in half. Half fleece is $94 + $16.50 shipping. Total for half is $110.50.
PayPal, Venmo or Zelle happily accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the Sanctuary.
SOLD
75% Wensleydale/25% Coopworth lamb fleece grown by Marta Munchkin
Marta Munchkin arrived into this world a wee little thing of only 3.5 lbs. She may have been small but she was feisty and clever, nothing could stop her, just like her Momma Maya she has a confident yet loving personality.
In six short months Munchkin grew a lovely little fleece. She was sheared last Monday and is loving being “naked” now and enjoying all the scratches and attention. She hopes her fleece can be used to make something as special as she is.
Munchkin’s 2.10 lb fleece is a soft lustrous jumble of cheerful little locks with a 4.25” staple. Low to scant VM, heavily skirted by a very picky hand spinner. No breaks, strong tips, no mud, just summer dust. This will scour easily to bright white. This fleece is ready to toss into the wash tub when you open the bag. Video of fleece in first comment.
Entire fleece is $54.60. Shipping is $16.10 (medium flat rate box). Total $70.70. Venmo, PayPal & Zelle happily accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary. 🥰

It will wash up easily. I wish you could feel this, it’s that nice. Just shy of 6” staple, 2.68lbs, heavily skirted by a very picky hand spinner. This fleece is ready to toss into the wash tub when you open the bag. My camera kept washing out the deep color. The darker pics represent the color accurately. Video of fleece in first comment.

SOLD
Wensleydale/BFL lamb fleece grown by Anise.
This is a charming little fleece was sheared last week when Anise was 7 months old. Skirting it was a challenge because Anise believes in wearing her food. I believe she likes to store it on her back to feed her friends in the event of famine. I think there was half a bale of alfalfa on her top line. Needless to say this fleece was heavily skirted by a very picky hand spinner and what remains is 1.91 pounds of gorgeous next to the skin soft fiber with light VM. What VM remains will easily fall out in processing.
5” staple. No breaks, strong tips, well defined crimp and a beautiful luster. The camera kept washing out the color. It is primarily soft black, charcoal and brownish tips. The darker pics accurately represent the color.
Entire fleece is $47 + $16.50 shipping. Total $63.50. Venmo, PayPal or Zelle happily accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the sanctuary. 🥰
SOLD
Wensleydale/Border Leicester Lamb Fleece grown by Twila 😊
This fleece is a dream. Soft and silky well defined locks of happiness loaded with luster. It just makes me smile as I work with it and remember the night Twila entered the world seven months ago. A beautiful little recessive colored ewe lamb that danced into my heart with her first baa. 🥰
A perfect blend of Wensleydale & Border Leicester, with more Wensleydale characteristics. 4.21 lbs of healthy & clean fiber. 6” staple. No breaks, strong tips, heavily skirted by a picky hand spinner. Light VM, what VM there is just falls out easily…this fleece is like Teflon, nothing sticks to it. The colors are mainly charcoal, pewter, silver, with a bit of dove gray & small taupe tips. It’s quite remarkable. Video of fleece in first comment.

Oh the luster and softness of this fleece! It’s a soft silky cloud of happiness! Absolutely divine and will be a pleasure to process. Faith was born in April and sheared last Monday.
Low VM, dusty but strong tips, no breaks. 4.5” staple. Skirted by very picky hand spinner. Only quality usable fiber remains. This is ready to toss in the wash tub when you open the bag. (My camera is struggling with the white balance from the lighting in my wool room and making it appear yellowish and dirtier than it is. This will easily scour to bright white.)
