Gannon junior Luke Malena leads the Golden Knights' men's cross country team with a 29th-place finish among more than 330 runners at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational in Rochester, N.Y.
Malena ran the 8K in 25:46.6. Way to go, Luke!

We are sad to pass along that a member of the OT Program's class of 1997 has passed away. Those that new Mike will remember him as an avid hunter and loyal friend. After graduating from Gannon, Mike moved south and opened his own OT practice. RIP Mike.

Adult Mental Health First Aid: The Mental Health First (MHFA) Training Course, provided by the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is an evidence-based program designed to teach participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. The course covers common symptoms of mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety, and provides a 5-step action plan to assist individuals in crisis.
Safe Zone Training: Safe Zone Trainings are opportunities to learn about LGBTQ+ identities, gender and sexuality, and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege. This voluntary training will consist of a three-hour session. Following each training, participants will receive a take-home resource guide and the updated Safe Zone training sticker, a representation of completing the training and communicating to others that they are open to talking about and being supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. This session is appropriate for any nonprofit professional looking to elevate their knowledge through opportunities to learn about LGBTQ+ community.

Since then, she has achieved incredible milestones, including being named the 2022 U.S. Paratriathlon National Champion, earning six podium finishes, and securing two wins in World Triathlon events. π
This summer, Emilia will make her Paralympic debut in Paris, representing the US alongside 15 elite parathletes. Let's cheer her on as she inspires us all with her dedication, resilience, and remarkable achievements! πͺ
