Thursday afternoons from 3pm to 5pm have just opened up! Starting Thursday, September 12th, I'll be available for appointments since golf league season will be over this week.
Be sure to jump on the schedule!
School is back in session and the season of summer will be holding on for a couple more weeks. As a result, my schedule will be shifting back to non-summer mode.
Thursday afternoons will open up with golf league coming to an end. The office will continue to be closed on the last Friday of each month.
I will post/share updated non-summer mode office hours after Labor Day.
My evenings are booking up quickly. Many folks and families have booked standing appointments for the remainder of the calendar year. I encourage you to do so, too. It is easier to cancel an appointment than it is to get in at the last minute.
Available new patient afternoon appointments are three to four weeks out just as a heads up.
I wish everyone with school age kids a healthy, happy, safe, and low stress school year. I wish everyone without school age kids a healthy, happy, safe, and low stress non-summer seasons!
The summer is winding down which means there'll be a shift in the demand for appointments. Teachers, students, student athletes, and families tend to like the "right after school" or "before practice" time slots. (For example, there are only five 3 pm time slots each week with hundreds of people looking to book that time. There are only five 3:10 time slots each week...so on and so forth...meaning there's fierce competition to get these coveted slots).
The office schedule rewards the proactive healthy lifestyle. It is easier to cancel an appointment that was booked weeks/months ago than it is to get squeezed in at the last minute.
Look at your work schedule. Check your children's practice schedules. Once you start putting your own and your family's activities on the calendar, be sure to take the time to schedule your proactive/maintenance/chronic care chiropractic appointment on the calendar at the same time.
We live in stressful times. Stress attacks our nervous system. A weakened nervous system makes us more vulnerable to illness, injury, or will slow down our healing time from illness/injury. Chiropractic adjustments, in conjunction with an active, healthy lifestyle, can help your body better adapt to the effects of stress.
Don't delay. Get on the schedule.

Made it to the Outer Banks. All emails, text messages, phone calls, online appt requests, FB messages, smoke signals, and carrier pigeons will be responded to on Monday, July 29th. See you next week.
Cheers!
A burrito bowl with chicken and light dosage of rice plus any additional veggies/salsas would be around 500 calories (17 grams of fat (30%), 66 grams of protein (52%), and 23 grams of carbs (18%)...with a PE Ratio of 1.62). This means you won't have to cook, can achieve positive body recomp with a PE Ratio like this, and help the Iroquois marching band all at the same time.
A High Protein Bowl (a menu item) has 845 calories (28 grams of fat (30%), 82 grams of protein (38%) and 68 grams of carbs (32%) with a PE Ratio of 0.94). The High Protein Bowl is a great menu item to maintain current body composition...meaning, you feel like you are being bad, but you actually aren't!
Check out the full nutrition details on Chipotle's website. I did for you and these two items will be good for your dietary goals.
Dinner Saturday is taken care of for you.
Always a classic.

I'm wishing everyone a safe and healthy holiday week! I am out of the office on Thursday for the holiday and will be out of the office on Friday.
My schedule is currently FULL for the week (this includes the extra appts I opened up by coming in early, working through lunch breaks each day, and staying late each night).
I have started a cancellation list. Feel free to reach out to me for me to add your name to the list. Book your appts for next week as those times will begin to fill up quickly since this week is already full.
Cheers!
We are entering a stretch of time when scheduling in advance is more imperative. I will be out of the office three Fridays in a row.
I will be out of the office Friday, June 21st (anniversary), Friday, June 28th (bike ride), and Friday, July 5th (4th of July holiday weekend.
Please schedule your appointments in advance before your own vacations, camping trips, concert weekends, etc. I want to make sure you enjoy your summer, but you'll need to be proactive.

Good morning!
I hope everyone had a relaxing Memorial Day weekend.
As of Tuesday morning, the schedule is full for this week. With this week already being booked, next week will book up quickly.
Be sure to schedule your proactive, maintenance, and/or "slightly nagging" discomfort summer appointments now. It is easier to cancel, than it is to get squeezed in at the last minute before you go on vacation.
If you'd like to get on this week's cancellation/squeeze in list, shoot me a message.
As we approach the summer months, I wanted to share with you the dates that I will be closed this summer. Everyone has their vacation, camping, concert, and other travel dates already set. I want to make sure everyone feels well for their travels, so be sure to plan in advance and schedule your appointments for the days leading up to your travels now.
The summer schedule tends to shift a bit as kids are out of school. Teachers and families tend to schedule in the morning hours during the summer as opposed to the afternoon hours during the rest of the year.
Be proactive with your health and get on the schedule for the summer months now.
I always do my best to accommodate everyone by coming in early, working through my lunch break, staying late in the evenings, and even coming in on the weekends. Don't wait until the last minute.
I would love to take your old athletic shoes off your hands (well, feet technically). I am collecting old athletic shoes as a fundraiser for the Iroquois Band Boosters.
If you have old sneakers laying around, feel free to drop them off at my office whenever you think to do so. The Iroquois Braves, the environment, and your closet will thank you!
She's back at it for 2024! Sue is a true artist. For the past several years Sue has used the planter as her blank canvas. Instead of paint brushes she's been using plants, flowers, and colored mulch as her paint.
I can't wait to see what she has in store for this summer. She's award winning, so be sure to check out the garden as the summer unfolds.
Thank you, Sue!
I fully can relate to this article.
Often when I'm riding my bike, I'll pull over to the side of the road to respond to a text message a patient sends me.
I have patients message me for appts at 4:30 AM because they know I'm awake at that time.
It is difficult to take the "doctor hat" off when you know another human being is suffering and you can help them.
Earning the privilege of the trust of another person to care for their health and the health of their family is sacred. It is a difficult balance that often tips towards serving others and not serving oneself. Yet, it is one I humbly accept because seeing a baby stop crying after receiving their first adjustment is worth everything.

A reminder I will be out of the office on Friday, April 26th for a bike ride. The goal is for 100 miles around SE Erie County.
Also, I will be at the Upper Room on Thursday from 9 until 11.
Make it a great week!
Golf league season begins May 2nd. I will be unavailable for appointments after 3:30 pm on Thursdays from May 2nd through September 5th.
I will continue to take off the last Friday off each month through the end of the year for bike rides. This will condense my availability through the summer months.
The schedule rewards proactive health goals, maintenance care, and scheduling ahead. Be sure to get on the schedule now. Be proactive, not reactive!
Scheduling note:
I will be out of the office at The Upper Room homeless shelter this morning from 9 to 11 AM.
Just a reminder I will be out of the office today for the eclipse.
I'll be using the day to respond to the online appt requests, phone calls, text messages, FB messages, and emails while I was away last week. If you were one of the folks who contacted me for an appt or for a question, I will be in contact with you shortly.
Enjoy the eclipse viewing today! Be safe. Enjoy the unique once in a lifetime moment for what it is...a unique, once in a lifetime event.
Cheers!
A reminder I will be out of town Wednesday, April 3, Thursday, April 4, Friday, April 5, and will be closed for the eclipse on Monday April 8.
I am going in early both days this week and will be working through both lunch breaks, and staying late each night that I'm in the office this week.
Please start booking your appts for next week as next week will fill up quickly as well.
The schedule has filled up for the remainder of this week. I have created the famous "Can You Squeeze Me In" list as well as a cancellation list for this week. Call or shoot me a message to get put on either/both of these lists.
I still have openings on the schedule for next Monday and Tuesday, but those will fill up quickly too.
Make today great!
Upcoming office schedule with the Easter holiday and eclipse on the horizon:
This week is homeless shelter week. I'll be out of the office on Thursday March 28th from 9 AM until about 11:30 AM.
Friday, March 29th is the last Friday of the month. I've been taking off the last Friday of each month for the past two years. This Friday I'll be riding my bicycle to Buffalo for fun.
I will be in the office Monday, April 1st and Tuesday, April 2nd. I will be out of the office for a short family excursion to Washington, DC, from Wednesday, April 3rd through Sunday, April 7th.
I will be out of the office on Monday, April 8th, for a once in a lifetime experience of a total solar eclipse crossing over our hometown. Yes, it doesn't happen until the afternoon, but I'm still taking the entire day off just because.
My schedule is filling up already. I will try to accommodate all the "squeeze in" texts as best I can. I'll work to get people in before the office opens, on my lunch breaks, or even stay late, but I can't promise I can satisfy all of the last minute squeeze in requests.
Let's make it a great week!!
Here's Jamie and I announcing the winner of the February Squat Challenge between our offices.
Thank you for the shirt, Karla Mazza!
Hey, Team Krauza! We have until end of business day Monday March 11th to turn in squat calendars. You can send me a picture of your calendar or report to me how many days of squats you performed. I will complete a calendar with your name so all of your squats are counted towards the team's total. Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers - Harborcreek, PA is feeling the heat, but we can't get too complacent just yet. Get me your calendars!
I am selling tickets here at the office for this year's Corporate Comedy Show being held on Thursday, March 21 at 7 PM. The event will be held at Kellar's Magic and Comedy Club. All proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit the Upper Room directly.
Looking for an evening out on the town? This would be an awesome opportunity to help the Upper Room at the same time.
After two days of laying low to let my body fight off whatever it was fighting, I'm back today!
I'll be working diligently in between appointments to return phone calls, text messages, emails, FB messages. If you had an appointment cancelled due to me being out, I will be following up with you soon.
Thank you for your understanding and patience. It's been years since I've had to take time off work due to illness.
Know your body. Listen to your body.
I will be closing for the remainder of the day due to an onset of a mild fever. I feel perfectly fine with no symptoms, but a fever is a sign the body is fighting something. I do not want to risk exposing patients to whatever it is my body is fighting.
I think it was the physical strain of the treadmill marathon I did on Friday that created a vulnerability on my defense system.
All scheduled patients have been notified via text message.
I will be back in the office on Tuesday, February 27th, unless otherwise indicated.
Thank you for your understanding. Taking an afternoon off to rest is not something I'm familiar with, but the safety of the people I serve is most important.
We have one more week in the February Squat Challenge vs Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers - Harborcreek, PA. Be sure to get your squats in! If you have fallen off, no worries. Just finish strong! While you are at it, be sure to "like" their FB page so you can stay up to date on the awesome tips they provide throughout the year. I'm excited for Team Krauza to beat them in the squat challenge, but they are wonderful professionals who can help you on your own health journey.

Programming Note for the Week of February 19th:
I am open today (President's Day) but I am booked up to the point I'm coming in early and seeing patients over the course of my lunch break to accommodate the squeeze in requests.
I will be at the homeless shelter on Thursday, Feb 22 from 9 - 11.
I will be out of the office on Friday Feb 23 as part of my monthly "take the last Friday of the month off to do something." This is the third year of my taking off the last Friday of each month. It started out as my way of training for Ironman, but I continued it as a way to continue challenging myself outside my comfort zone.
There are some remaining openings on the schedule for this week, but those are filling up quickly so don't delay to book your appointment.
Don't forget to get your squats completed. The folks at Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers - Harborcreek, PA are getting delusional thinking they have a chance to beat Team Krauza.
