There are many benefits to physical therapy after or during breast cancer treatment. Read more about it on https://breastcancernow.org/about-breast-cancer/life-after-treatment/your-body-after-breast-cancer-treatment/exercise-and-breast-cancer/
Thank you for the recognition from our patients and community we strive to serve. All are welcome to the healing environment we create. We are proud of our clinicians and support staff who share the same passion to give back and care for our community.
Local physical therapist goes above and beyond to treat Eugene veteran A Eugene veteran said that a local physical therapist went above and beyond to provide him with the treatment and care he needed for an arm injury.
CONGRATULATIONS KELSI - OUR NEW PT ASSISTANT!!!
While working with our team as an LMT, Kelsi yearned to expand her patient care skills and pursued her dream of being a PT assistant through Lane Community College. Kelsi graduated June 2021 and gained her Oregon PT Assistant license yesterday, July 26, 2021.
Job well done and we are very proud of you!
Happy Holidays! Be safe! From the PTOCS family!
Hello friends! A lot has happened in a very short period of time, but focusing on the good news, want to let you know that we hired a Physical Therapist with plenty of experience, but above all has a heart and soul of gold. Her name is Laura Powell and we'll have something on our website in the near future. I hope you get a chance to meet her at your next visit.

Our commitment to protect our patients. In addition to our established COVID universal precautions, this is our new caregiver standard when we provide direct patient contact to mitigate any potential COVID risk. As always, thank you for your support.
Home | Physical Therapy Services Physical Therapy Orthopedic and Cancer Services (PTOCS) has been part of its local community since 1972.Ā We are faced with an unparalleled challenge with the COVID-19 outbreak and our clinic remains committed to serving our community.
TELEHEALTH SERVICES: PTOCS will pilot and offer telehealth services specific to our immunosuppressed Oncology population, on a case-by-case basis with the option for private pay (after signing an Advanced Beneficiary Notice [ABN for Medicare patients]/non-covered services).
Unfortunately, Medicare (CMS) confirmed through a webinar (04/09/2020 at 9:00 am PDT) and through CMS document (CMS-1744-IFC), CMS does not cover Telehealth Services if provided by a physical therapist. See link of document CMS-1744-IFC, page 35 (last paragraph), that clearly indicates that services provided by a physical therapist is not covered by Medicare.https://www.cms.gov/files/document/covid-final-ifc.pdf
Certain private insurance companies will cover Telehealth Services. PTOCS will confirm with your commercial private insurance on a case-by-case basis.
MODIFIED FRIDAY SCHEDULE:
For our high-risk patients, especially immunosuppressed patients, we will offer single patient ā single practitioner services on Fridays ā with no other patients present in the clinic. Your physical therapist will make that specific determination if you meet our criteria for one-on-one in clinic visits on Fridays.
Thank you for your resounding support as we make efforts to keep our patients safe during this COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Physical Therapy Orthopedic and Cancer Services (PTOCS) has been part of its local community since 1972. We are faced with an unparalleled challenge with the COVID-19 outbreak and our clinic remains committed to serving our community.
After careful reflection and consideration from Governor Kate Brownās March 23, 2020 stay-at-home orders, the position statement from the American Physical Therapy Association, Private Practice Section, and the memorandum from The US Department of Homeland Security ā we affirm our belief that our clinic practitioners belong to the list of essential infrastructure workers.
We believe it is our ethical and moral obligation to keep our regular clinic hours of operation for the community we serve to play a key role in keeping physical therapy patients out of doctor offices, urgent care clinics, and emergency departments as we brace for the unprecedented burden COVID-19 will impose to the healthcare system.
Even before the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, Physical Therapy Orthopedic and Cancer Services have always utilized universal precautions infection control measures for patient safety. In addition to our established infection control guidelines, we have adopted COVID-19 specific infection control policies and procedures to ensure patient safety that includes temperature checks to all persons (employees, visitors, and patients) who enter our clinic.
We believe in āgiving backā to the community ā we sincerely thank the selfless clinicians and support staff at PTOCS who continue to support our mission on serving our community.
Thank you for your support.

Please continue to support local businesses.
Amidst the COVID-19 situation, small businesses are struggling to keep their doors open. Small businesses are truly the life blood of any community.
Although there is movement to practice "Social Distancing" and avoiding crowded areas and events, there are ways to continue to support local businesses to keep our community and our local economy strong and healthy.
Here are a few ways to support local businesses that we hope you would consider: Order take out, buy gift cards now to be used later, home delivery services, go to the stores during off peak hours, or call grocery stores for phone pick up orders.
This will pass, and our hope is that we continue to have vibrant, strong small businesses thanks to all of you.
Thank you so much for supporting local businesses during this scary time for our community. Together we are stronger.
Although it is always good practice to wash hands before leaving the restroom, before eating, or handling soiled items for instance, it's vitally important more than ever to practice good hand washing technique to protect yourself and others from bacterial and viral exposure and harm.

What is happening at PTS?
Growth, and that's a wonderful thing for the potential patients looking for a clinic with respectful, empathetic, compassionate, knowledgeable, and well skilled staff working collaboratively to help you in your journey of healing.
So you can do more... running, walking, family time, or even experience less pain to do more of what you love.
Oh my goodness! So much happening at PTS. First, a warm welcome to Brittany Newton, PTA!! Brittany comes to us straight from Lane Community College's Physical Therapy Assistant program and is such a wonderful addition to our growing PTS family. On that note, we just posted a full time benefit Physical Therapist position and shortly a full time Massage Therapist position. A big, big thank you to all our patients that have confidence in our ability to help them get back to their active lives as quickly as possible š
Strain or sprain? Hmm... here's more information about it from the National Institue of Health with recommended treatments.

Aging, a natural process. No shame to that at all. But as you know Spring chickens we are not more like moving to Summer and Fall Equinox. Ha! Joint pain becomes more prevalent, as does ... arthritis. Nooo!
The CDC put out a really nice article, stressing the importance of exercise. Love the section "Start low, and go slow". Yup... that sums it up.

Need physical therapy though? Come give a ring at 541.345.7532
Apologies for the silence. Busy, busy after Holiday fun and relaxation. Now just playing catch up.
For snow warriors, winter sports, is simply thrilling! Some say, crazy relaxing fun... hmm... maybe.
So long as you don't wind up bailing or garage sale-ing or being plowed down by someone up north of you or you plowing down someone down south of you. Yeah... you know what I mean.
Doesn't matter - it just hurts when you land hard.
But you know, if you do wind up hurting yourself, please go see a doctor first. And if you need more help, we're here for ya. Just give us a ring at 541.345.7532 to schedule an appointment and we'll take care of you.
To celebrate the New Year, PTS will be closed on Tuesday, 01 January and will open on Wednesday, 02 January.
Happy New Year to all!
To celebrate the Holidays, PTS will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, 24th & 25th respectively.
We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.
You know that feeling in the morning when you're holding a really good cup of coffee in one hand and the newspaper in the other? Wait... maybe it's your tablet or something in the other hand... Still, it's a great feeling, right? You know - relaxed and feeling good about life.
Well, that's the same feeling you're going to get after a relaxing hour massage. Give us a ring at 541.345.7532 to schedule your massage. Remember in December you'll get 10% off of when you purchase an hour long massage š Now, that's something to feel good about.
