We've compiled a list of the amazing opportunities these young musicians are seizing. See what our students are up to and discover new experiences you may want to try next summer➡️

Summer is a season of growth, and for recent Academy graduate and cellist Amelia Zitoun, that growth is taking her to new heights...Shelter Island Heights that is!🌞
Amelia will be spending her summer at the Perlman Music Program in Shelter Island Heights, New York! She will be immersed in a nurturing musical community alongside 30-35 other talented musicians from around the world. For seven weeks, they'll all live and learn together on PMP's beautiful waterfront campus on Shelter Island. How amazing!
Our Academy students don't just wait for the fall semester – they seize the summer as a chance to grow!
Take violinist Tristan Zhu, who just wrapped up the Yellow Barn Music Festival Young Artist Program, honing his skills through chamber music experiences, coachings, and performances.
In July, he'll be headed to the Music@Menlo Young Performers Program, diving deep into advanced chamber music repertoire.
And because a well-rounded summer is key, Tristan will also be trading in his violin for running shoes at the Synergy Distance Running Camp in Chicago!🏃
Academy cellist Lucy Wu is filling her summer with music and travel!✈️
First up is the Bowdoin International Music Festival in Brunswick, Maine, an intensive and in-depth exploration of chamber and solo music through lessons, studio classes, coaching with Festival faculty, and performance opportunities.
Lucy will spend July on a solo trip to Los Angeles and in August, she will travel to China and Japan with her family!🌞
Academy cellist Jan Vargas-Nedvetsky keeps the music going all summer long!🌟
Jan just wrapped up a week of honing his chamber music skills at the Cleveland Institute of Music's Chamber Music Intensive.
Next, he's off to Switzerland for another 10 days of intense training at the prestigious Gstaad Menuhin Festival Strings Academy! With renowned faculty at both programs, Jan is maximizing his summer for musical growth🎶
Academy violist Vivian Van de Sype-Cucu has a packed summer full of music!🎶🌞
Vivian starts at the Bowdoin International Music Festival in Brunswick, Maine this July where she will experience lessons, studio classes, coachings with Festival faculty, and performance opportunities!
Soon after, she is off to the Astona International Summer Music Festival in Baar, Switzerland, a two-week international summer music academy that provides opportunities for pianists and string players between the ages of 12 and 24 to study with renowned faculty and hone their skills in a variety if lessons and performances.
Vivian will also be traveling to Sicily for a week to spend time with her family. How exciting!
Academy cellist Simon Updegraff is making the most of his summer by taking his skills to the renowned Ascent International Cello Festival!🎶
Held on the campus of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Ascent offers an intensive training ground for talented young cellists like Simon (ages 14-30). He'll have the incredible opportunity to learn from renowned faculty, including our very own Avi Friedlander, alongside acclaimed cellist Richard Aaron!
