We were very saddened to hear about the recent passing of former Fifth Ward Council Member, Delores Holmes. A long-time friend of Curt's Café, we appreciate her support of our mission and will miss her dearly. She was truly a source of empowerment and compassion in the Evanston community, and her absence will be felt deeply. Thank you, Delores, for your dedication to helping others and creating positive change.

Be just like "Niklaus" (the student-made vampire scarecrow at our Highland Park café) and sip on the sweet Vampire’s Kiss drink! This spooky special is only here this month as part of our "Sipping through the Seasons" drink series, so get it soon! 🦇

Students had fun traveling back in time to visit dinosaurs at the Field Museum! Full of historical, scientific, and cultural exhibits, the Field Museum is a fantastic place to explore for students. We will definitely come back soon! 🦖

They're bringing creativity and teamwork to this fun community project, showcasing their skills while representing the café in this competition. We're excited to see their finished creation!

Happy ! We're sending a big congrats to Nick for his recent graduation from our program. Learn more about Nick below!
Nick joined us in 2023 through a referral from Highland Park High School, where he was able to earn school credits for his work at Curt's Café. He's been a dedicated part of our team and will be graduating from high school in the upcoming year. For now, Nick plans to take a break from work to focus on finishing school, but plans to reconnect with social services when he's close to graduating. His current passion is content creation, and he’s aiming to become a YouTube streamer. We're excited to see what Nick achieves next! Congratulations, Nick, and thanks for all of your hard work!
