Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there and all the scientists who built their own children in an attempt to show the world their brilliance.

On Tuesday we were thrilled to have stop by for a tasting to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. It was a blast!
Thanks again to everyone who came out and spent some time with us!
The sun is out, the birds are chirping, the bees are buzzing, the cicadas are screeching, and we've got the best springtime drink ever back in stock! You've gotta go to Tomo if you want some refreshing Sakura soda!
Direct from Japan, chocobi is back in stock for a limited time! Possibly a VERY limited time if Shinnosuke has anything to say about it!
A Hanshen Tigers game on the TV, a hot izakaya on your table and a cold drink in your hand; where else would you rather be?
Happy Mother's Day from all your kids at Tomo!
Today is Children's Day in Japan! We've got a special gift for any kids who stop in today, because we are super cool like that (and we will be playing kid-friendly shows all day, so no need to worry about what's on)!
April 29th is Showa Day in Japan, which serves as a day to reflect upon the reign of Emperor Hirohito, who was re-titled Emperor Showa after his death (Showa meaning "bright peace" or "enlightened harmony" depending on the translation).
To say that his time as Emperor was complicated or that his legacy is difficult to nail down is an understatement, as he ruled from 1926 to 1989. He was there for the evils Japan committed leading up to and during World War II, he was there for Japan's occupation and de-fanging post war, and he helped lead Japan into its modern revival into an economic powerhouse.
But stoic reflection on the past is boring, so instead we will spend Showa Day showing old Showa Era Godzilla flicks. Rubber suits are way more fun.
Holy Japanese equivalent of guacamole! Today is our two year anniversary!
I know none of you want any sappy thank you stuff, so instead, howzabout we have a drink? Sapporo bottles are down to $4 all weekend! Come celebrate with us!
Looking for a great paying job in a fun, friendly restaurant? Well we are looking for a dishwasher! So that works out great for everyone!
If you can work nights, stop in to Tomo and fill out an application!
The weather is so nice today!! Why not enjoy the Sun with one of our delicious pokè bowls!!
Congratulations to the VFX team for Godzilla Minus One on their well deserved Academy Award! Howzabout some 'Zilla flicks tomorrow night? Sound good? Darn tootin' it sounds good.
Words cannot express how many people were touched by the work of Akira Toriyama. I remember watching Dragonball Z dubs as a kid, and having to spend way, way too much money on VHS's just to watch a few episodes in order. I would try, in vain, to try and emulate your art style, simultaneously so clean and so relaxed. Your storytelling so clever and unpredictable. You made me a more creative person, sir, and will be missed.
Rest in piece.
-Chris
March 3rd is Hinamatsuri or Girl's Day (sometimes called Doll Day) in Japan. It started as a day to pray for the good health and luck for young girls. Dolls representing the Emperor and Empress are placed on a red cloth, girls dress up in beautiful kimonos and delicious food is served.
For those of you wondering why girls get their own day, originally Children's Day (celebrated later in the year) was exclusively for boys. That changed in more modern times, but Girl's Day remained.
Two questions: who has awesome plans for the weekend, and how many times will you be stopping in at Tomo to fill up on ramen?
Happy Hour just got a whole lot happier! We've added some new deals onto our Happy Hour menu, if you've been on the fence about trying our buns, now's the time!
We wuv you thiiiiiiisssss much!
Got a date for tonight? No date? Too many dates? Stop by Tomo tonight, we are knocking down the prices on all our sake and beer for tonight only! Enjoy some great food and cheap drinks, what else could you want out of Valentine's Day?
Who are you guys rooting for in the Puppy Bowl this year? Is it the puppies? I bet it's the puppies.
Sake is still $2 off each bottle, so come to Tomo and watch some puppies play football.
Along with some -other- thing going on today, February 11th is National Foundation Day in Japan, celebrating the foundation of Japan in 660 BC with the crowning of their first leader, Emperor Jimmu.
To celebrate, and, I guess for that -other- thing going on, we are taking $2 off all of our sake today only!
Part pancake. Part seafood. Part robot. Maybe there's some pirate in there too, I don't know, I'm not 23 and Me.
Try our new seafood okonomiyaki today, it's a savory pancake filled with chunks of delicious seafood!
I've been saying it for years, but now it is official: we have the best looking buns in town.
New items are hitting the Tomo menu, get your buns in here and try them out!
Hope your 2024 is delicious everybody! Be safe out there!

We love having you here and being part of this community, and we look forward to being around for years to come.
Thank you all and happy Thanksgiving!
