A recent client of mine put her work (lots of stress) in front of her health. With that came on the weight, elevated blood sugars, increased blood pressure. She was eating at her desk, not sleeping well, and not moving her body.
Now what: she put her 2 week notice in at her work, got a job she loves and will allow her to be more active, put her nutrition and health back into a priority, and started sleeping better with the release of the stress. I am so proud of her and all she has accomplished in only a few weeks!
Food, activity, stress and sleep has a huge impact on our health. It’s not easy to make them a priority-but it can be done!

Goin back to the basics and maintain is about most of us can handle when life gets stressed and overwhelming.
Don’t try to be perfect with your life trying to keep it all at 💯.
Just breathe and get back to the basics that you can manage! Here are a few to keep in your back pocket during those times in life when you feel like you are drowning:
1-Drink water, water, water💦
2-Breathe-take 30 sec to 5 min a day to stretch, deep breathe, think about 3-5 things you are grateful for.
3-Rest when you can. Watch a Netflix show, movie, make sleep a priority (6-8hours a night)
4-Move every hour. Make a step goal (8K-10k/day)
5-Remember….stress never goes away, but if we take care of our body and mind, it will help us handle it!
What can I catch you doing when it’s chilly outside? Snuggling under a blanket? Sledding? Say it with emojis! 🛌⛷️🏂🛷
We’ve reached the middle of the work week, and if you’re anything like me, you may need some motivation. I love to put on music from back in the day, like Black Eyes Peas for that extra push to Get 👏 Things 👏 Done 👏.

⚡️Simplify your life and become sensible. Get help if you need to educate yourself on nutrients. Start fixing your food and body relationship, STOP stressing about all the details and feeling guilty when you are not PERFECT with all this.
A healthier lifestyle takes time, education and the understanding of YOU!
Quick fixes, longterm calorie deprivation and unsustainable plans are not the answer.
What if we just start with the basics and just eat for fuel, energy, life?
