So incredible proud of this one!! Anyone who has been through prep knows the roller coaster it can be both mentally and physically. Taking home a 2nd place and 4th place finish in your debut is the cherry on top to everything you’ve already accomplished. I can’t wait to see the growth over this off season and what we can do next. For now, enjoy the comfort foods and then it’s back to work! 💪🏼💚

245lbs for 8 reps this week. +2 reps from my previous session. I found a note in my phone from 3/29/23 and my 1 rep max was 255lbs. I’m going to be repping that old max for 8 reps soon enough.
An honest 245 x 6 today for my top set of bench press.
My goal going into 2024 is to be better about posting to this page. Especially documenting my progress and strength again. I’ve got some major goals for myself heading in to this new year!

LEFT -> 180 lbs around November 2021. This was our starting point for the Indiana Muscle prep.
Right -> 180 lbs October 2022. Our current spot a couple weeks into a bulking phase!
Chris was in prep for the beginning of 2022 and claimed 1st in his class at the Indiana Muscle. After taking a health phase for the summer, we are picking back up and preparing for the 2023 season. The composition difference is a perfect example of taking time and getting yourself in a position to grow! I can't wait to see what these next couple of months will look like with proper training and nutrition!
I came across a study this morning that lit a fire inside me, so I wanted to write out my thoughts.
Nutrition education barely exists in America. It is briefly, and often poorly, taught during middle/high school and that is about it. Med schools only require about 25 hours of nutrition education for a doctor and who knows how much of that is retained or cared about amongst everything else they learn?
The Dietary Guidelines for Americans should be an unbiased source of helpful information for anyone seeking to be healthier. The Food and Pharma Industry continues to take advantage of the lack of nutrition knowledge and the average American person.
We are the most stressed out, obese, and in debt cohort and it will only continue to get worse. They want to keep people obese and having multiple chronic diseases so they can continue to write prescriptions and do expensive tests and hospital stays.
Please take your health seriously. We only get one body, treat it nicely.
Prevention > Treatment

Control what you can control. Easier said than done, I know but take some time and think about that. We get caught up in so many things that we let outside distractions dictate or ruin some of the things we have control over. Focus on what you can do and take pride in your effort! 💪🏼
