Chemo Buddies

Because no one should ever have to go through chemo alone We are here because we believe, "No one should ever have to go through chemo alone." Clinic.

Chemo Buddies is a grassroots non profit organization that provides a group of dedicated volunteers who serve cancer patients while they are in the treatment room receiving chemotherapy. Chemo is time consuming β€” it can take up to 8 hours β€” and this leaves many patients without their normal support person or family. The Chemo Buddies volunteers serve as companions for patients, and help with snack

For our annual Walk to the Brickyard Challenge, each team agrees to donate $100 and nominates a local charitable organization to be in the drawing to receive all the proceeds from the challenge. CourtStrong INC is still accepting donations to help make this dream trip a reality for this Veteran. Please, take a moment to read his story.

ALL donations made to CourtStrong with the memo β€œChris” will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $2,500.

πŸ’œ πŸ’œ Chris Rutherford, a proud Navy Veteran, was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) in May 2021. He has been fighting this battle every day since diagnosis. He is an avid history buff, and has a library full of books on U.S. History. It was always his dream to visit Washington, DC with his father in law, Vietnam Navy Sea Bee Veteran , Ronald Hall.
A Dream Deferred - Despite his valiant service with the Navy and later Army Corp of Engineers, Chris’s dream of visiting our nation’s capital remained unfulfilled. The monuments, memorials, and history that echo through the streets of Washington, DC, have always beckoned to him. Now, as he faces a continuous battle with RCC that has beyond taken its toll, we have an opportunity to make that dream a reality.

The Battle Within - RCC, a formidable adversary, has invaded every aspect of Chris’s life. His courage and strength during this heroic battle is beyond inspiring. Let’s rally around Chris, ensuring that he gets to experience the awe-inspiring sights of DC.
Your Support Matters! Join us in raising funds for Chris’s dream trip. Every dollar brings him closer to the Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial, and the hallowed grounds where heroes rest. Together, we can honor his service, and give him the trip he always wanted to take. πŸ’œ πŸ’œ

This event lasts until the end of the month. Checks can be dropped off with our friends at Chemo Buddies, whom were paramount in making this matched donation possible.πŸ™‚
Checks may be dropped off here:

Monday - Thursday 9am-3pm Friday 9am-12pm. 3700 Bellemeade Ave suite 118 Evansville 47714.

PayPal donations can be made to the link below. Simply click the link, click β€œsend” at the bottom, then enter your donation amount and Chris’s name in the message line (there is a small processing fee, but much smaller than those with go fund me etc).
