Take a sneak peek at the ongoing renovation of Ursinus College’s cafeteria, where Gbuild recently infilled an outdated sunken dining area to create more space for student collaboration.

In addition to the new Café space with 4 rotating food concepts will multiple daily menu options, there will be a gaming area, central gathering and lounge spaces, a student presentation areas, higher ceilings and a brighter more open environment. The New Café is adjacent to the Office of Disability and Access, which Gbuild completed last Spring.

Gbuild has been working with Ursinus College on this project since last fall, when we started Preconstruction. Our team addressed long lead time items to keep the project on schedule, and our preliminary budget stayed constant through the design process.

Gbuild recently completed the two-phase construction of the offices for the University of Delaware Administrative relocation from Hullihen Hall to the former SevOne space of the STAR Campus in Newark, DE.

This project created an opportunity to renovate and “reimagine” Hullihen Hall, which has long served as offices for UD’s senior officials in departments such as Accounting and Finance. The project included executive offices, workstations, conferencing and community spaces.

The Gbuild team continues to grow with the addition of Dan Sullivan, Project Superintendent. Dan brings significant commercial construction experience, including managing complex projects for a large pharmaceutical company.

He has a proven track record of problem solving and implementing resourceful solutions, as well as strengths in client relations, organization and logistics. He is also an effective leader, fostering an atmosphere of honesty and integrity among his team. Dan has a BA in Project Management from Liberty University.

Exciting evening at the Flyers game as Gbuild Construction Managers team came together for Small Business Appreciation Night! We had a blast celebrating our team's collaborative spirit and willingness to pull in the same direction.

Doug Gianforte spoke to students at University of Delaware 's Construction Engineering and Management program about working in the building industry and starting and leading a construction management company.

“As a civil engineering student at UD, I finished a summer internship with DELDOT on a construction project as a field engineer and returned to ask my academic advisor why UD had no construction management or engineering courses," recalls Doug. "His answer: ‘Simple, construction is not an academic subject.’ I’m glad that UD has changed its thinking and I’m happy to support the program.”

Looking back 10 years ago to our $4 million renovation of the Perkins Student Center at University of Delaware.
Gbuild creatively planned multi-phased renovations to avoid disruptions in the 66,000 SF, three-floored, occupied, active student center. The work included complete mechanical systems replacement and sustainable features, including LED lighting and energy efficient HVAC systems. Today, the building continues to provide e"countless opportunities for student life and community" for the campus.

On this , we're remembering when a crowd of over 500 people - including Governor Tom Wolf, who arrived in his Jeep Wrangler - gathered to celebrate the opening of Turn5's 90,000 SF headquarters in Paoli.

Turn5, an award-winning e-commerce retailer focused on automotive parts, hired Gbuild to completely overhaul an existing building, inside and out, to create a remarkable new space for its employees. The company's HQ features state-of-the-art video production studios, class A office space, and unique features such as an upcycled shipping container coffee bars, a full-sized bowling alley, and a golf simulator.

New projects, new employees, new awards - it has been a busy year for Gbuild Construction Managers! Take a look at what we’ve been up to lately with our Summer by the Numbers:

BEFORE and AFTER: Deep in the trenches in 2016 at Ursinus College’s Innovation and Discover Center (IDC) on this . This $29 million, 42,500-square-feet, high performance building was designed for “science of the future” and created a significant outward image for the College. Gbuild served as the owner’s rep on this project, which was built to LEED Silver Certification standards.

This summer, Gbuild Construction Managers continues to grow with three new additions to our team. We are pleased to welcome Anthony Braca and Nick Perez as Project Superintendents and Mike Klusartis as an Assistant Project Manager.

Only a select few firms with exemplary safety records are recognized with the Delaware Contractors Association (DCA) Governor's Safety Award; Gbuild is honored to have earned this award for the ninth year in a row.

Last week, the Gbuild team celebrated this recognition with DCA President John Everhart and Deputy Secretary Rachel Turney of the Department of Labor handed the award to the Gbuild leadership team.
