Laundry Room (part 1).
In our home there is a constant need for a place to put ALL of the things. My job is to make it look good while also being useful. I came up with this fun grid design complete with hooks and k***s. Despite the very staged photo, this wall actually houses backpacks, purses, dog leashes and jackets.
I hope it brings you a little inspiration today. ❤️
Fireplace Makeover 🔥
Our fireplace is a key feature of our main living area. We had been wanting to change it for years after we moved in but couldn’t settle on a final design.
Whenever I get stuck and need inspiration I usually take to Pinterest or Instagram for inspiration. There are so many talented designers out there!
Once we found a design we liked, we mapped it out and got to work. I’m a big fan of shiplap, as you’ve seen. We built out the wall and created a more size-able mantel.
The hardest part now is decorating the mantel!
The Master Bath. This project deserves a book of its own.
We took on this project in 2020. Between the lockdown and renovating our bathroom, we needed a therapist on speed dial.
We replaced all of the tile in the shower and freshened up the counter and cabinets. I’ve never been so happy to have such a tiny master bath. The kids got in on helping hang tile and paint.
Disclosure: we would NOT do this one again.
Today I bring you… the “Closet Office”. This closet has been through several stages from housing storage to craft supplies. In 2021, I finally claimed it as my own. I repurposed an IKEA book case (painted) to house my yarn and floral collection. I used an Ikea desk top (also painted) and some organizational drawers from Michael’s for the desk.
I’m in love with how it turned out! It’s eclectic and colorful, just like me!
Here is another project we tackled in 2022, our downstairs powder room. The most challenging part was finding a vanity that fit the space! Scale in any room is so important, especially in this tiny space. We ended up buying a console cabinet, cutting holes for plumbing and mounting a sink on top. We researched how to lay tile and I became a “master” at installing adhesive wallpaper.
I’ve been reminiscing over projects we’ve completed in our home, so I thought I would share a few over the next few posts.
Warning!!
Before you decide to take on a home project remember:
•it’s not as easy as it looks
•it will be exhausting
•you might need a first aid kit
•there will definitely be a tantrum (mostly me)
Petite Blue Desk
What is life without a home project?!
Incredibly grateful to have this new kitchen. Words could never express how much I love it! Thank you Bill for taking my dream and making it reality!
New year… new makeovers!
Merry Christmas ❤️
My daughter and I completed this mural for my youngest’s Elementary school. We had so much fun!
Since the beginning of my journey painting furniture, I have rarely chosen a neutral paint. This green musical gem is no exception! Question is, are you looking for a one of a kind piano?
I’m so in love with our living room wall transformation! ❤️
Spring has EFFING sprung!
Flipped.
In our house we need more nooks for hiding! We removed our vintage lockers from our entry coat closet and created this whimsical reading nook/shoe storage. If you need me, you know where I’ll be. ❤️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
