On June 12 we commemorate the declaration of Philippine independence in 1898 from Spain’s 333 years of colonial rule. As a Filipino American I believe it’s still important to impart our Filipino heritage to the next generation. I make sure I cook Filipino foods, listen to OPM, share cultural traditions, tell my children stories of my childhood back home, and always tell them to be proud of their heritage.

Lots of kids were duped by these cake pop cones. Saw kids licking it like ice cream and told them they need to bite into it to eat it. 😅

Meryenda - a word that sends me back to a lot of my childhood memories. I remember the afternoons we would wait for the little boy who sells his nanay’s bicho-bicho around our neighborhood, and the times my grandma would send us to our local panaderia to get some freshly baked ensaymada or pan de coco.

As a nod to my childhood back home I’m creating a Meryenda Menu Series this summer starting with everyone’s favorite - Ube. I will be offering a special menu item on specific weekends and holidays and announce preorders the week before.

Kids are back to school! Whew!

Some of you know that I’m busy mom of 3, and an athlete, and baking is just another outlet of mine. I’m always happy to bake something for you but please know that i have very limited availability. As always, it’s always recommended to inquire 4 months in advance for availability.

September calendar is full, but I do have some availability in October. I might take some time off in November for a trip but in December, I might offer some Holiday items or maybe some DIY cookies or Ube pandesal just to make up to all of you that I’ve turned down so far. I’ll update you all for sure!
