Sunday Recap 8/15/24 “The Holy Spirit” (Connection) - Pastor Joe // Social Media- Are you connected to God? Do you feel emotionally connected to God? This past Sunday we continued our series on the Holy Spirit. We looked at Galatians 4:6-9 and found that connection with the Holy Spirit brings intimacy, security, and encouragement. Connection with God leads to closeness to God. We don’t just want to know about God, we want to know Him.

Sunday Recap (8/4/24) // “A Mystery” - Pastor Joe // In the Christian life, people tend to focus either on the Holy Spirit or the Bible. However, the two work hand in hand and God uses both to speak to us. God leads us through the mystery of the Spirit and the clarity of the Word. The Holy Spirit always leads and guides in line with the Word. If you want to experience the Spirit of God, devote yourself to the Word of God.

Sunday Recap (7/21/24) “The Holy Spirit Series” - Pastor Joe //
God gives us His Holy Spirit when we put our faith and trust in Jesus. Many people think that by having Jesus with us physically, life would be better, but Jesus says that the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us is so much better than Jesus beside us. At times, we don’t feel or experience the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. However, it’s not how much of the Holy Spirit that WE have, but how much of the Holy Spirit has US. When you rely on the Holy Spirit, God’s Spirit makes His Word come alive in you.

Please pray Pastor Joe’s voice holds out for one more day of camp and preaching on Sunday! God’s been great and we ate lumpia at dinner! 😋
“Peace in the Midst of Chaos” – Ralph Lucas //
Is peace possible during chaos?
In Acts 12, the Apostle Peter experiences divine intervention and peace amidst chaos.
King Herod Agrippa initiates a violent campaign against the church, imprisoning Peter with the intent to execute him after Passover. Despite being heavily guarded, Peter remains calm and trusting in God.
The night before his ex*****on, an angel appears, frees him from his chains, and leads him out of prison. Peter initially thinks it’s a vision but soon realizes his miraculous escape is real.
This passage highlights the power of prayer, as the church earnestly prayed for Peter, and underscores the peace and deliverance God provides even in dire circumstances.
Faith, fervent prayer, and trust in God’s sovereignty and power brings an inner peace that surpasses all understanding, enabling us to remain calm and hopeful despite external chaos.
Peace is not the absence of problems but the presence of God amidst chaos. And when you let God have control, you will experience His peace.
Have you experienced God’s peace in your life?
Tuesday of camp. Todays game was ultimate kickball. These kids are so competitive!
Day 5- Our first full day of camp was filled with lots of ice breakers, games, learning of names, worship, and some of the best camp food ever! Joe preached 2 times and the rest of us were able to lead small groups. We are feeling blessed to be here. Please keep praying for the teens and their church leaders.
Day 4 - first day of camp. About 80 campers and 25 workers.
Sunday June 23, 2024 - Ralph- Peace in the midst of Chaos
Day 3 Happy Sunday! We had an amazing day with the team at church. Lou led the doorman at our hotel to the Lord before he even made it to a house church where he was able to preach. Joe preached and Jonah led some worship at 8:30 AM. Then Jonah and Jared gave their testimony in the young adults group. Followed by a lesson taught by Joe. We were fed an amazing lunch, rested a bit, and went back to church for their Gospel Hour at 4pm. Our team sang and Joe preached again. We had pizza and chicken for dinner, then talked about our great day. We are now heading to bed. We have an early day tomorrow and lots of traveling. Please keep praying God is good!
Day 1 traveling ✅
Day 2 shopping, eating, traveling, visiting the home, worship, games, more worship, preaching, more food! ✅
We won’t go hungry! We have learned a lot already and are excited for church tomorrow.
Tonight, Pastor Joe and a few other church members will embark on their missions trip to the Philippines to serve youth. It’s always amazing to send and to serve as missionaries to spread the Gospel and be the hands and feet of Jesus around the world. Church, please pray for safety (in travels and during the trip), that all activities would run smoothly, unity in one Spirit, and for God to open the hearts and minds of the people they meet. We look forward to seeing the good things that God will do on the trip.
