Looking forward to supporting this legendary practitioner next week as he debuts his latest creation, the PerFacT Protocol, in its first publicly taught course. The group of people planning to attend is the perfect blend of knowledge and specialties to create one of those unforgettable experiences that ripple through practices and generations to come. I can’t wait to see what we can do!

Fall at TWBoord. It is still quite warm in the daylight hours but the crisp air of fall is here as our gentle seasons change. The spiders are in full swing and the solar eclipse this morning was fun . Quite an odd season with plumeria still in bloom, paper whites coming up and a few watermelon still hugging the warm driveway not allowing the garden to be turned.

Replaced the well pump today at TWBoord. The crane doubled as an orange picker and we may have lost a few oranges down the well 🤭

Wonderful retreat. Amazing guests. Perfect weather. They worked hard, played hard, ate well and enjoyed being together. The highlight? A sweet coffee cart and talented baristas . ☕ 🍊

Dried fruit has long been a popular snack option, and now you can make your own at home with your air fryer.

Dried fruit cooked in an air fryer is nutritious and versatile, and when cooked for the recommended amount of time, it is guaranteed to come out tasting great and these treats can be stored for quite some time. Adding spices or seasonings such as cinnamon or nutmeg can enhance its flavor even more. Apples, peaches, plums, and apricots are all ideal candidates for air-fryer drying because their firm texture makes them perfect for this method. By taking advantage of the convenience of an air fryer, you can enjoy dried fruit anytime as a healthy snack alternative. No air fryer? Look up using a dehydrator or your oven.

Making your own veggie stock using scraps is a simple and effective way to utilize food that might otherwise be thrown away. For best results, keep your veggie scraps from cooking and store in the freezer until you're ready to make a pot of stock. Toss everything in a large pot, bring to a boil and let it simmer for at least an hour uncovered. Experiment with your favorite herbs and spices or just lightly salt so the stock is more of a simple base for recipe use.

After simmering for at least an hour, strain out the solid pieces with a fine-mesh strainer for a rich and flavorful stock that can be used in sauces, soups, and stews. Not only are you taking action toward reducing food waste, but you're also allowing yourself to create delicious dishes that incorporate the vegetable scraps saved from previous meals.

An organized refrigerator can save time and money when it comes to grocery shopping and meal planning. It can also encourage your family to migrate toward healthy choices.

First, take some time to remove everything, discard all the expired, contaminated, or unusable items and give the inside a good clean. With a clean empty space, put things back in the refrigerator.

Consider the dual purpose of this appliance: of course there is the 'storing' items for meals but there is also 'displaying' items you want people to use. If you simply take all your market items and 'store' them, they will sit there until you decide to prepare/display them, use them in cooking or they rot.

If you want things eaten, try to 'display' them all ready to grab at eye level. Create snack size containers or bags of sliced carrots, celery and snap peas. How about parboiled green beans, broccoli, and asparagus? Hard eggs? Salads? This is an extra step as you unload those groceries but it will save you time and money. Imagine grabbing a handful of beautiful carrot sticks you have already peeled and sliced versus taking out a carrot, cutting board and knife each time you want to serve a quick carrot snack?

The bottom of the space has the most consistent temperature. Place your most perishable items lower. Use the door compartments for condiments and other less-perishable foods so they don't take over the space. Pick a shape of storage containers so they fit and stack, Store left-overs in single serving air-tight containers with a tight-fitting lid for up to four days. Enjoy your new refrigerator layout and keep changing things so they work for you and your family.

Hints of spring after all the glorious rain. Birds are active, seeing a few bees on the blooming succulents, jasmine blooms are getting pink and oh these beautiful blueberry blooms. Nature is grand 👒

Our last bit of yearly harvests. We have been wondering where all the potatoes were and found them snuggled against a warm wall of the planter. Any ideas what to do with potatoes the size@of chickens?! 🙉🙊
