We went with a simple face frame balayage to stick with a more contrasting look for the winter months. It’s not necessary to always do full balayage. Breaking up your look over the seasons not only adds versatility to your look but your budget as well! Win win!

Base: 5NB that was applied before painting the highlights

Melt: Base 7NA then add clear to base tone splash of 7V and apply all over

🌿Full Balayage and tip out🌿

I’ll often get guests that have all one color and ask for a balayage and expect this result. To clarify balayage is simply a term that signifies to your stylist that you would prefer a lower maintenance look. The results vary depending on what we’re starting with. This type of result would not be possible in one session if you were only wanting balayage. It would also require a full tip out as well to create a heavier contrast and less dimension.

🌿 10 min color 5N for her color. This 10min color is my new absolute favorite! You have to give it a try!!

🌿MATERNITY LEAVE IN 10 WEEKS

This blend is going to give her natural dark hair a pop and overall light look but as it grows will blend easily so she doesn’t have to come in as often 😊

Blended balayage with high contrast tips. If you want to stay brunette ask your stylist for the blonde to be more focused on the ends for that bright pop without it transitioning up to high.

Gave this beautiful mama a little pop to her hair.

🌿Quick tip: if you are looking to have balayage that looks long and ribboning STAY AWAY from short layers the color will not connect and look choppy. Slide to left to see what I mean. She had her hair cut by another stylist (last picture) before coming in. We did our best to blend the previous cut a bit better and add some balayage (2nd picture) but some of the pieces were so short.

Low maintenance lived in blonde for this beautiful mama. Making time to get to the salon when your mom let alone a new mom can be difficult trust me I haven’t had my hair done and over three years lol. All the more reason to go to a more low maintenance option it will give you a much longer grow out time and convenience when needing to make appointments around the family.

This guest has VERY damaged and over processed hair. This result was her second session. Swipe ➡️ for 1st session where we did a partial and her before. Unfortunately I took her before after doing a dry cut but hand painting is such a great technique option for damaged hair.

🌺 Hair Painting Tip: make sure your guest is not expecting any specific tone or results. Hand painting does not provide a lot of lift at times so you need to be able to properly formulate a toner that will give you the best results.
