We are still praising God for this past week of sharing Jesus with kids in our church + community at VBS✨

CITYLIGHT YOUTH ✨

Last week 6 of our youth spent a week at Hume Lake Camp! Each day they spent time at chapels learning about Jesus from the book of Matthew, worshipping, praying + playing team building games throughout the day ☀️

Two of our youth dedicated their lives to following Jesus during this week 🙌🏾 continue to pray for the seeds that were planted + that God would continue to work in their lives 🌱

SPORTS CAMP ‘24⚽️🏀

That’s a wrap! Praise Jesus for this week! An average of 80 kids came each day to play sports + learn about Jesus! We had 22 kids from our community + got to strengthen connections with families.

20+ kids put faith in Jesus + many more more heard the gospel 🙌🏽 continue to pray for the seeds that have been planted this week + that Jesus would continue to transform lives ✨

Thank you to all of our servant leaders who invested in kids all week + help make sports camp happen ⚡️ all glory to God

Today we got to bless 10 students from Falls Church High School with scholarships to continue their education. These students are graduating seniors from the English as a Second Language program. We pray that this not only impacts their future but the lives of their families + future generations ✨

This wouldn’t be possible without your generosity + the work we get to do together in Jesus’ name!

we are so proud of & thankful for each of these students who God placed here at Citylight for the past year to learn more about Him & His love for each of these children. our prayer is that they would continue to grow in their knowledge & love of Christ as they head into new schools, and that they would shine the light of Christ wherever they go 🤍

As we looked at Colossians 2, the passage warns two types of believers: those who measure their relationship with God by religious practices only + those that seek spiritual experiences apart from greater connection to Jesus. While both practices + experiences are essential to growing our faith, the measure of these is how much they bring the believer closer to Jesus + transform them to be more like Christ. 🙌🏾

IMMERSE 🙌🏼 God loves to show up + share more of himself with us when his people come together to seek his face! We praise God for another time to pray, intercede, + dedicate this next season to God to whom we are dependent on + can’t do anything without ✨

Sundays at Citylight ✨ today we started a new series through the book of Colossians called “Primary Christianity” 🌈 what a gift to gather together to worship, serve, hear the preaching of the Word, + pray! Go be the LIGHT OF THE WORLD this week 💡
