special 9/4/2024. summer is just about over but we have one last special to bring the vibes back. this weeks special is:
Meang kung lettuce wraps. This special is crisp, crunchy, and fresh. Inside the lettuce wrap is tempura shrimp, WaiWai noodle, fresh mint, basil, dill Topped with Gina's famous herbal green sauce. Eat it like a taco Soooo Gooood.....😋

8/20/24 weekly special (Kung Pow Thai)… This is ThaiKota’s twist on kung pow chicken. Diced chicken with bell pepper onion and peanut made with red curry and Thai chili paste. Served on top of rice. 👊🥋🔥

Special 8/7/24. Yum MaMa. Made with Thailands most popular instant noodle MaMa. This spicy and refreshing dish is perfect for a hot summer day. It has MaMa noodle tossed with chilis with soybean oil, lime juice, onions, tomatoes, carrot, squid, crab stick, pork loaf, shrimp, and hotdog. Garnished with lime and cilantro. ☀️ 🔥

Special 🚨 7/25/24.:: Khao Yum G*i Sap!! Fried chicken tossed with basil, green onion,cilantro, culantro, mint, tomato and shallots and mixed with chili, lime juice and fish sauce and finished with some pulverized roasted rice all served on a bed of steamed rice. Very fresh flavor that will leave a tingle of spice on you tongue 😛 🌿 🔥 🍗 🍚

Unfortunately someone jumped our patio fence and stole our red umbrella last night. If anyone sees a red patio umbrella out of place in the downtown area let us know we want it back 👏

Special 7/12/24 -Khao Ka Moo- This popular Thai dish is influenced by Chinese cuisine. Pork leg stewed with five spice. Accompanied with stewed pickled cabbage and shiitake mushroom, blanched g*i lan, and a boiled egg. Then drizzled liquid from the stew on top all over a bed of rice. And finally it isn’t Thai without spice it gets a sour Thai chili and garlic sauce to go along with it. 🐷

Special 6/22/24 Khoa Moo Dang: A Thai-Chinese fusion dish of slice roasted red pork on rice topped with a sweet and savory sauce made from pulverized sesame seed and cilantro root. Along with green scallions, cilantro, cucumber and a boiled egg. Also a spicy dark soy on the side. 👍😋

ThaiKota goes to Thailand T.J. and Gina Edra own ThaiKota, a favorite, flavorful hole-in-wall in downtown Fargo. In April, they made a trip to Thailand.

It’s back. Fan favorite ThaiKotaBap. This is our take on Korean style bimimbap. Spicy pork bulgogi, kimchi cucumbers, salted sprouts, pickled carrot/dikon, and a fried egg all on top a bed of rice. 🔥

5/22/24. Special 🚨 Jungle Curry 🚨 we’ve traveled thru the jungles of Thailand and tried some curry’s. Gina’s take on a Jungle Curry is spicy, savory, and full of vegetables and aromatics. Made with a red chili paste, chicken, Thai eggplant, kachai root, Thai green peppercorn, basil, kiffer lime leaf, red pepper, long bean. Served with rice. 🔥 🌶️ 🔥

3/20/24 SPECIAL❗️❗️ Pad See Ew G*i
This is Gina’s take on a popular stir-fried dish found in the streets of Thailand. Made with a fresh flat rice noodles stir-fried in a sweet and savory soy sauce then tossed with egg, chicken, carrot, and g*i lan. Garnished with fried garlic.

YUM NAM KHAO TOD (spicy crispy rice salad)
Deep fried curried rice mixed with sour pork sausage, pig skin, shredded coconut, lime leaf, ginger, and Thai herbs. Topped with fried peanut and chilies. Served with cabbage and cucumber. 🔥🔥🌶️🌶️

Special starting 2/22/24 Khao Man G*i…..Khao man g*i translates to "Rice Fat Chicken" we poach the chicken and reserve the liquid for cooking the rice. also adding ginger and garlic to it. Along with the chicken and rice you get a daikon chicken soup and Gina special tangy spicy sauce to top your chicken and rice with. one of my favorite street food of thailand. so come get it!!

1/20/24 Weekly special: Yen Ta Fo (Thai pink noodle soup) The soup is sweet and zesty and rich made with a pork bone broth mixed with fermented tofu. Served with egg noodle, fish tofu, fish ball, crab, morning glory green, bean sprout , and a pork meat chop garnished with onion, cilantro and fried garlic. Made for this cold weather. 🍜

Special time!!!! 12/13/23. (Kuay Jab Yuan) Vietnam Udon Noodle Soup. This soup has a rich pork bone broth, with thick and chewy Vietnamese udon noodle, Daikon, pork spare ribs, pork loaf, garnished with cabbage, fried onions, chive and cilantro along side of dried chili and Prik Nam Som (pickled chili).

This week Gina said it’s TJ’s turn to do the special. This dish is somthing I enjoyed eating as a child when living in Hawaii. Poached Ginger chicken. Chicken thigh meat poached in a ginger garlic liquid topped with a ginger and scallion relish on top of hot rice with a side of kimchi. 🤙

11/16/23 special of the week Kuayitiaw Reua (Boat Noodle Soup). This is a very true authentic rice noodle soup in Thailand. Boat Noodle has a very complex rich broth made from pork bones and toasted aromatics and thickened with pork blood. Topped with sliced pork, meatball, g*i lan, sprouts, and garnished with homemade chili oil, fried pork fat, fried garlic, and herbs. 🌿 🍜 🔥
