That’s a wrap on the 2024 Fargo Film Festival! On behalf of the entire team: THANK YOU! We are so grateful for the generosity of our sponsors who make this celebration of independent film possible. Over the course of five days, we screened 107 films (including two Oscar nominees) and welcomed more than 40 visiting filmmakers to the community. The 2-Minute Movie Contest screens at 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 as part of the 2024 Fargo Film Festival. Shown back-to-back in a whirlwind collection, more than 45 very short movies from all over the world, made by beginners and professionals alike, offer viewers an entertaining look at the hard work of artists who create for the sheer joy of it.

Ticket-holders for the Evening Showcase that begins at 7 p.m. are welcome to stay. Those arriving for the 2-Minute Movie Contest may purchase tickets at the door. Admission is two dollars.

“Liturgy of Anti-Tank Obstacles” is an official selection in FFF24. In war-torn Ukraine, sculptors and metalworkers use their skills to create anti-tank obstacles. Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk's powerful film was awarded Honorable Mention by the Documentary Short jury.

Justine Gauthier's film "Death to the Bikini!" was awarded Honorable Mention by the Narrative Short Jury. In the movie, young Lili rebels when her parents force her to start wearing a bikini top after a lifetime of swimming topless. While he is impossible to categorize, he is always one thing: an original. The film was awarded Honorable Mention by the Doc Short Jury.
