Rosey’s Story
Theodore Roosevelt encountered the tragic death of his wife in childbirth and, on the same day, the death of his mother. In his state of grief, he left his infant daughter in the care of his sister, and traveled to the Bad Lands of Medora, North Dakota. Here, he watched wild mustangs run and began the work of healing his soul. Theodore Roosevelt became the 26th President of the United States and credits his time in North Dakota as necessary to him becoming President. He is famously quoted saying, "Without my time in North Dakota, I never would have been President". He became one of the country's most prolific writers and sources of inspiration. He traveled through Fargo, arriving at the Great Northern Depot and walking the sidewalks of Broadway on many occasions. He is the source of inspiration for our turn of the century environment, and the heart and soul of Rosey's Bistro & Bar.
