☀️ It's picnic day!! 🌭

🚧Just a reminder that there is construction being completed on the main lot across from the shelter.

ENTERING THE PARK: There is a detour to enter the park around the construction, but it is clearly marked, and you enter the same way as past years.

PARKING: The main lot across the street from the shelter is under construction and not available to use. Instead, there are two options for parking: 1) West of the main shelter, past the restroom building, there is a gravel parking lot. 2) Right in front of the shelter there are some regular and accessible parking spots. All these spots should be used for people who need to park close to the venue, or who would have difficulty walking from the gravel parking lot. There is also a place in this lot to drop off people close to the venue, then you can proceed to park in the gravel lot.

April is Autism Awareness Month! Let's spread understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals on the spectrum. Together, we can create a more inclusive world.

Community Living Services is looking for members of the Fargo/Moorhead community who find greatness in helping others. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated community members that will embrace the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others in need of support and assistance. Are you interested in making a difference in our community? If so, Community Living Services would love to have you join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)!

DSPs Primary Responsibility: Provide direct care and support to people with disabilities in various settings such as their personal homes, at their place of employment, or while actively participating in the community.

Open Shifts Include: Friday evenings and every other Sat/Sun required

Requirements Include:
Female applicants only.
Extensive training required.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions.
Work independently or as part of a team.
Must be willing to lift and transfer individuals.
Must be reliable, dependable, and punctual.
Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time (10-25 hours per week)

Salary: From $18.00 per hour

Each year, CLS sends out a satisfaction survey to stakeholders, including all the wonderful people we support. Tomorrow (April 2nd) CLS Quality Assurance is hosting an event in our Day Habilitation to serve popcorn, talk about this survey, and help the people we support fill out surveys if needed. Stop by tomorrow from 11am-12pm to get some popcorn! 😃🍿🍿
