🥶Temperatures are dropping and we’re here to support🥶

Three overnight warming centers are open now through March 31. These centers provide two meals, showers, sleeping accommodations, and housing assistance for residents experiencing homelessness.

To access these warming centers, residents should call 866-313-2520 from 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday.
Veterans seeking shelter should call from 8am - 4:30pm.

Detroit Parks & Recreation has respite locations at Detroit recreation centers (open during normal operating hoursONLY):

Warming Centers -
To access the warming centers and year-round emergency shelters, the City of Detroit is asking residents to call the Wayne Metro Community Action Agency at 866-313-2520 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A hotline, 866-313-2520, also has been set up for Veterans from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The three warming centers are operated by:
* Cass Community Social Services, which takes in families and single women.
* Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, also which also families and single women.
* And the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, where single males can go.
* In addition, the city also is opening its rec centers.

APPLY NOW for HOPE! HOPE, formerly known as HPTAP, is The City of Detroit's property tax exemption program. HOPE allows qualifying homeowners to be exempt or partially exempt from the current year's property taxes.

The HOPE Deadline is here and the Board of Review will stop accepting new applications at 4:30 PM on Monday, December 11th, 2023. Wayne Metro can help you apply!
