Fayetteville State Broncos Athletics Wins 1st Men's CIAA Basketball Title Since '73 with 65-62 Win over Virginia Union University Athletics! Top seed Fayetteville State University made the most of its second straight The CIAA championship appearance. The Broncos relied on defense and free throws to gain their second conference tournament title in school history and their first since 1973, outlasting second seed Virginia Union University,65-62 at Royal Farms Arena on Saturday.
