The recent events taking place around the country have compelled the local chapters of NOMAS, AIAS and Freedom by Design to create a space for an extremely necessary discussion at the Fay Jones School. We will be collectively hearing students and faculty on what steps need to be taken in order to shape a more diverse, inclusive and anti-racist future at the school.
We aim to have a unified voice representing our school at the university’s first digital strategy session “Transforming U of A: Combatting Racism to Build a More Inclusive Campus,” on June 12, at 3pm (check your school email for more information).
Our AIAS chapter is sad to see everyone leave Vol Walker today. As of now, all of our events are cancelled for the remainder of the semester.
As a reminder, all students should vacate their studio desks by 5 pm today, as online instruction will resume on monday.
In the meantime exercise all precautions to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus—don't forget to wash your hands, avoid large gatherings of people, remain at home for the most part and take care of your health!
Hopefully we will see you all in not too long!
First meeting of the semester is TOMORROW! 5:00 in room 210!
⚠️BEAUX ARTS BALL WILL NOW BE HELD AT THE FAY JONES SCHOOL IN THE GALLERY ON THE 2ND FLOOR⚠️
Don't forget to come to the Meet the Mentors event tonight at 6:30 in room 205! This is a great opportunity to meet professionals in the NWA area and gain a long term contact that could be invaluable to you during your time in school. I hope to see everyone there!
