📣 FCS Warriors competed all over Fayetteville on Tuesday! VG Golf completed their first match at Gates Four, and VG Tennis fought hard against a tough 3A opponent at Reid Ross. Soccer and Volleyball had a great showing against Northwood!

We have students all over the world showing the love of Christ!
A group of our seniors and chaperones are pouring their hearts into local missions this week, showing compassion and selflessness. They're doing a great job representing FCS and Jesus to those they can lend a helping hand.

Today, our senior send-off chapel took place, giving our seniors a chance to showcase some of what they'll be sharing in Zambia with the Tonga tribe. 🌍 It also was a moment for the rest of the school to pray over their upcoming mission trips, local and abroad.
Join us in prayer as they heed the Lord's command to spread the gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth.

🏰 Another enchanting book fair has come to a close at FCS. Our incredible librarian, Mrs. Walton, once again worked her magic to bring a treasure trove of books from every genre.

We had the pleasure of having Lt. Col. (Army) Brandon Knox, a 2002 FCS graduate alum, back on campus yesterday! He is a West Point Alum and a PhD candidate at Southeastern Baptist Seminary.

Brandon currently serves as a pastor, while also carrying out part-time duties for the Army at the Pentagon. He also serves in a civilian role at the University of North Georgia where he educates students, parents, and schools about the outstanding opportunities within the Corps of Cadets.

During his visit, Brandon shared his testimony with classes, which included being saved right here in chapel at FCS. We were grateful for him taking the day to spend time with our seniors!

The Warriors For Life were able to collect 23,927 diapers over the week to donate to two local crisis pregnancy centers, Agape Pregnancy Support Services and Hand of Hope! The donations were collected by our students and staff. These two photos show just a portion of all of the diapers they were able to donate.

🎄 Spreading Christmas cheer at our school! 🌟 Students and staff rocked crazy Christmas clothes today, turning the halls into a festive fashion show!

Pre-K went on a journey similar to what Mary and Joseph did looking for a “Room in the Inn”. It was cold and NO ONE had a room, but in the end…do you know what they found?? 🌟
Baby Jesus and Mary and Joseph, animals, and the Wise Men! The teachers talked with the students about the importance of giving our hearts to Jesus.
Special thanks to 1st grade for helping them on their journey! 💙✝️

Each year, in lieu of buying Christmas gifts for the teachers, the school asks parents to donate money towards a special fund that is given to all FCS staff as a gift from parents at Christmas time. Our average teacher salary is below the average but they faithfully serve in this ministry. Receiving extra money this time of year is especially appreciated by the staff. It also saves parents the hassle of shopping and we can make sure that none of our staff, from the teachers to the janitors, is overlooked.

Former UNC basketball star Leah Church shared her inspiring journey in chapel today for our students and staff. She was a star basketball player for the University of North Carolina, but after three seasons, she walked away from her basketball career to stand for Biblical truths. Her testimony of perseverance, faithfulness, and trust in God's Word is a powerful reminder for us all.

Our 5th grade class got to have downtown Fayetteville become their classroom this week. It was a day filled with learning and discovery of this All-American city we call home. Thanks to the 5th grade teaching team for coordinating a great field trip for those students!

In our FCS/Fayetteville community of military families, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the veterans among us. The sacrifice and dedication shown by your service inspires us all.

The FCS Arts Department has had a full and wonderful week of performances!

First, our Senior High Theater Arts students delivered an amazing stage adaptation of “Little Women” to two sold-out audiences on Saturday and Sunday directed by Mrs. Linda McGirr.

Next, our Junior High & Senior High Bands and Choruses debuted with several powerfully moving patriotic pieces during Wednesday’s Veteran’s Day Chapel for a gym full of guests directed by Ms. Crissy Parker and Mrs. Rachel Hess, respectively.

Lastly, our Elementary Chorus (combined 4th & 5th grades) performed a heartfelt lineup of patriotic songs at Thursday’s Veteran’s Day Chapel for their friends and families directed by Mrs. Jeanine DuBois.

Once again, the amazingly talented teachers and students of FCS have blessed us all with their God-given gifts!
