Keeping them inside with a TV, radio, or air conditioner running can help camouflage the noise of the fireworks. We are happy to announce that we are now offering Shockwave therapy for your pets! Shockwave therapy does not require anesthesia or sedation. Using sound waves, we can speed healing and decrease pain in your pet. Dr Norstrem is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). Osteo-Arthritis pain (OA pain) is chronic pain that can be seen in dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. Several factors can put dogs at risk of developing OA pain, including:

Newly released Librela is a once-monthly injection that helps reduce canine OA pain. Librela works differently than opioids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as Carprofen and Deramaxx. It is a monoclonal antibody therapy that is a potent inhibitor of canine NGF activity (a key OA pain mediator).

Librela has been approved as safe and is metabolized and eliminated like naturally occurring antibodies, with minimal involvement of the liver or kidneys.

The holidays are coming up, and with the holidays comes traveling. If you are going to be traveling with your pets, make sure you look up your airlines requirements for health certificates for your pets to fly (Many require the health certificate within 10-14 days of your flight). Health Certificates do require a full exam, so call ahead to make sure we have openings to get your pets in.
If you are planning to travel for the holidays and boarding your pets, then make sure their vaccines are all up to date. Some boarding facilities have special requirements for boarding, including specific vaccines and/or f***l checks, so we recommend seeing what they require. Please call our office if you need copies of your fur babie's records for holiday boarding.

Please be sure to schedule an appointment with a technician before dropping by. One pet per donation of 3 nonperishable food items. Donations will be accepted and complimentary nail trims will be scheduled through the end of day Friday, November 18th. Proof of a current rabies vaccine is required.

Hello Crestwood family! We have had a lot of smoke in the air recently making it harder not only on ourselves, but on our pets as well, so we want to make sure that any outside play time or walks for your pets are decreased. If you notice any concerns, never hesitate to contact our office!

Fall is coming! So we don't need to worry about fleas, right? WRONG! Fleas are still out there! We are actually seeing more fleas on patients in the last couple weeks than we had all summer. Make sure your pets are up to date on flea medications to keep them comfortable! There are some over the counter products that are no longer killing the fleas, so if you need safe and effective products for your pets, just give us a call!
