Raphaël Vavasseur, a Paris-born artist, is known for his evocative and mystical cat paintings that explore the profound connection between humans and felines. Blending realism and fantasy, his paintings often feature cats in surreal, misty landscapes, capturing their natural grace and enigmatic presence.

Vavasseur's journey began with studies in graphic design and art, but he later shifted his focus to fine art, teaching himself painting. His artistic influences draw heavily from nature and the work of French illustrators such as Moebius and Bilal. Primarily working with acrylic paints, Vavasseur’s three cats—Kitcha, Doudou, and Cocotte—serve as models and muses, with each cat embodying different emotional qualities, such as reflection, affection, and wild energy.

Large open trays are best 🐈‍⬛❤️

For many cats, the best option is an uncovered litter box placed in a quiet and convenient location. We often make the mistake of trying to provide so much privacy that we end up creating an uncomfortable or unsafe set-up. Additionally, with a covered box, it often doesn't get checked and scooped enough.

“I'm a 17yr old male cat, gray, domestic shorthair (ID ). I was brought in by my previous owner on 10/5/24, and I may prefer to be an outdoor only cat. I look a little rough around the edges because I recently had eye surgery. I am a gentle and extremely loving boy! I like to take things slow, and I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you I will be a very devoted friend!

I am neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped! My adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. I was nominated for Pet of the Week on October 8, 2024. This means that my adoption fee has been reduced! This adoption fee includes a King County pet license (if applicable).
