Curly Goals: Elongated curls
Not all curly girls want tights ringlets. Some want their curls to hang longer and have less coiling.
Using the right products, like Innersense, and styling techniques are key.

Enhance your curls effortlessly! 💫

1. Scrunching: Apply a gel or foam to wet hair, then use your hands or a microfiber towel to gently scrunch your hair upwards towards the scalp. This technique helps to define curls and add volume.

2. Twisting: Take small sections of damp hair and twist them tightly, either towards your face or away from your face. Leave them twisted until the hair is fully dry, then gently unravel for spiraled curls. This technique adds definition and promotes curl formation.

3. Finger Rolling: Apply a curl-product to wet hair, then take small sections and wrap them around your finger, starting at the roots and rolling towards the ends. This technique helps to define curls and adds a spiral effect.

For drying your curls, you have a few options:

- Diffusing: attach a diffuser to minimize frizz. Set the dryer to a low heat or cool setting and aim the diffuser upward. Hover the diffuser near your hair roots and scrunch the hair gently while drying to encourage curl definition. This method can help add volume while drying your curls.

- Air Drying: If you prefer to let your curls air dry, you can follow the scrunching, twisting, or finger rolling techniques mentioned above and allow your hair to dry naturally. Avoid touching or disturbing the curls as they dry to minimize frizz. Questions? Let’s talk. Message me ➰

The Wonders of Curl Training! 🌀✨

Curl training is a game-changer when it comes to enhancing and defining your natural curls. Let's dive in and discover why it's so amazing for your lovely locks!

Curl training involves the process of encouraging your curls to form, clump, and hold their shape for a more defined and uniform curl pattern. When done right, it can transform frizzy, undefined curls into beautifully sculpted ringlets.

Here's a breakdown of why curl training is good for your curls:

1. Definition: Curl training helps individual curls find their own unique shape and form, making each curl stand out and creating a more defined and uniform curl pattern. Say goodbye to unruly frizz and hello to beautifully defined curls!

2. Longevity: By training your curls, you encourage them to hold their shape for longer periods. This means your curls will last throughout the day, maintaining their bounce and structure. No more losing curl definition halfway through the day!

3. Volume: Curl training can help boost volume in your hair. By encouraging your curls to form clumps and groups, you create the illusion of thicker, fuller hair. Hello, voluminous curls!

4. Manageability: When your curls are trained, they are more likely to behave the way you want them to. Styling becomes easier, and you spend less time struggling with uncooperative curls. It's all about making your hair routine more effortless! Innersense curl products create an amazing result!

Once you understand where you are on the curl spectrum, you can easily identify the best products and techniques to enhance your natural curls and make them truly shine.

So, take a second to find your own unique curl pattern and let the magic of the system help you to a world of stunning curls! ✨💁‍♀️

Grey curls can have a mind of their own! Here are some tips specifically tailored for grey curly hair and why they can be beneficial:

1️⃣ Moisture is Essential: Grey hair tends to be more prone to dryness and frizz. This is because grey hair often has a coarser texture and a decreased ability to retain moisture. Invest in moisturizing products like hydrating shampoos, conditioners, and deep conditioning treatments to keep your grey curls nourished and hydrated.

2️⃣ Embrace the Natural Texture: Grey hair, especially curly grey hair, has a unique beauty to it. Embrace your natural texture and avoid excessive heat styling or chemical treatments that can cause further damage. Instead, enhance your grey curls with styling products that enhance definition and minimize frizz.

3️⃣ Gentle Handling: Grey hair can be more fragile due to the loss of pigment in the strands. When detangling or styling, be extra gentle to prevent breakage. Use a wide-toothed comb or your fingers to detangle, starting from the ends and working your way up. Avoid harsh brushing techniques that can cause unnecessary stress on your hair.

4️⃣ Protect from Environmental Damage: Grey hair, like any other hair color, can be susceptible to damage caused by the sun, wind, and pollution. Protect your curls by using hair products with UV protection, wearing a hat or scarf when exposed to intense sunlight, and rinsing your hair after swimming to remove chlorine or saltwater.

5️⃣Gray-Specific Products: Consider incorporating hair products specifically formulated for grey hair into your routine. These products often address the unique needs of grey hair, such as reducing yellowing or providing added shine. Gray-specific shampoos, conditioners, and toning treatments can help maintain the vibrancy and clarity of your grey curls. Regular Trims: Regular trims are essential for keeping your grey curls healthy and preventing split ends. Trim your hair every 6-8 weeks or as needed to maintain the shape and manageability of your curls.

A little about me

Hi, I’m Paula, and Hair is my thing. Curly hair, straight hair, blond hair, red hair and all shades of brown hair, I love it all!! Everyday I get to create and do what I love. Making people love their hair and feeling good about themselves is my ultimate goal.

We opened Hairworks Salon April 2002. We wanted a space we could call our very own. A place where the guests would have a great experience and leave feeling confident and beautiful.

Color is my total passion! I love dimensional hair color. I am continuously learning the latest and greatest ways to achieve gorgeous looking hair. I specifically design each color and style to enhance your face shape, hair texture and life style. This makes each service with me unique.

When I’m not creating stunning hair, you will find me spending time with family and friends, at the mall shopping or my indulging in two of my favorite things, ice cream and Starbucks.
